A Walker vs a Mammoth - AT-DP vs Goliath (RWBY)

well i cant figure out the goliath´s exact AP so im just gonna work off the assumtion that the goliath is baseline, giving the AT-DP a 4x ap advantage, speed is equal, the goliath is atleast 2 meters taller and should be a good deal wider (giving it a sizeable advantage. which doesnt actually help, it just makes it a bigger target, to the point where even a strom trooper could hit it.), the goliath should have the lifting strength advantage by a good margin, intelligence id give to the goliath, but the AT-DP severly outranges that coupled with it´s ap and dura advantage the goliath is pretty much doomed at a distance, but the AT-DP does have very bad balance and gets knocked over fairly easily so if goliath gets close it could win.

Walker certainly has the range advantage, but the Grimm likely has a faster travel speed. And if Ruby's very strong sniper rounds wouldn't do squat to them, with these same rounds tearing extremely durable grimm to shreds. So it probably can close the distance and put that massive lifting strength and power to use.

A burn marked, ticked off, grimm walks aways from a crushed and twisted walker.

travel speed doest matter since speed is equalized. also the AT-DP is much more poerful then ruby´s sniper rounds so they cant really be compared.

Yes but unless the walker can somehow walk backwards as fast as it could sprint forward, it's going to get overtaken. Grimm durability is something quite impressive given many of the super sized ones plow through buildings without slowing down. Meanwhile the Star Wars' series cannons tend to take a few good shots to do the same. Accounting for speed, lack of vital areas on the grimm, and possibility of missed shots; they'd have to start a pretty considerably distance apart to give the walker enough shots to gun down the grimm.

In a recent episode a Goliath was unfazed by Penny's 8-B sword beam

Wait, really? Welp, i opened this fight back when volume 7 didn't exist, so back them it was assumed that the Goliath had an High 8-C Durability.
