Since they're not canon, and very little is different from the characters, I doubt that the memory resistance would be accepted.

@starry A youtuber named maximilian dood, who's a fighting game expert, but wasn't a DB fan until Fighterz was announced says it's good for even non-fans. So yeah, you should get it if you can, regardless if you don't know the show or manga.
