A question about layered hax

Let's say that character A has three layers of mind control that explicitly works on a physical level, aka rewiring the brain. They use the hax on character B. Character B has only baseline resistance to mind hax, but their resistance comes from their soul, which essentially floods their body with energy to resist the hax. Would character B resist A's mind control despite it being layered?

It doesn't matter where the resistance comes from, just what kind has it resisted before. If Character B has resisted Physical Level Mind Control before, then they get beat having only baseline resistance compared to 3 layers of potency.

Unless the verse works on the logic that Soul powers are superior to Mental ones no matter the amount of layers involved, mind hax still wins.
