Since I pit Leatherface against a Grizzly Bear before, let's pit another slasher villian against an apex predator. Standard Battle Assumptions but the African Lion is male, Human Jason is used, and he gets a machete and axe. Win by death of the other hunter.

I'd say Jason takes this, he's smart enough to outsmart the lion. The lion jumps at Jason, Jason throws his arm up to block a bite, shoves his machete into the lion's stomach, and you have a dead lion after a few more quick stabs.

Jason. Smarter, more better weaponry, and possibly more durable. He took an axe to the head without straight up dying.

Lion charges Jason, maybe gets a bite off on him. Jason grabs his mane, and goes to town with his machete on the lion, while at the same time, the lion is mauling him. But eventually, the lion reverts to type, gets scared, and trys to escape. Jason doesn't let it, and eventually turns it into an ex-lion.

Maybe but it should be mentioned that the Maasai tribe killed Lions with spears and shields as a tradition and Jason is still physically superior to the average man.
