I feel like the arguments in this debate were not properly concluded.

Arguments boil down to if Dimentio can mind control the four heroes, why didn't he. Because it was part of Dimentio's plan. He's been shown stronger than the four heroes, yet did nothing. He wanted them to get all the Pure Hearts, and use its power so he can use the Chaos Heart while everyone else is powerless. At the time Dimentio did control them in the had ending, by that point they already had the Pure Hearts and thus doesn't need them to go collect them. After his plan (almost) worked, he did to Luigi specially since he was the perfect host. Dimentio has been able to mind control Fracktail, Mario, O'Chunks, and Luigi. There's no reason to say why he wouldn't start with this. His boss fight showings are invalid as to what he will start with. He purposely lost those fights.

Not what the arguments boil down to

the previous reasons for Dimentio explain how he couldn't have done something, but that's not the same as to say that he would have done it if he could.

Anyone having reasons to not do something doesn't mean they would have do it if they could, not without evidence. Dimentio could start with mind control, that's IC, but that's not an affirmative as much as users make it seem in this and other threads.
