A lot of Homestuck characters scale to 2-A with the chain starting at the Genesis Frog/Bilious Slick, which is 2-A due to containing every potential instance of the universe as explained by Calliope.

However, she never states that there are an infinite number of potential instances, or at least doesn't in the page linked.

Is there another statement, or is that "every potential instance of that Universe" by itself implies an infinite ammount?

I don't think such a statement by itself should imply infinite universes.

Is in the epilogues that they talk about infinite timelines with variants of each character, and said variants exist thanks to the frogs they originate from, so each frog contains infinite timelines

Basically the original comic sets up that each possible timeline exists in the frogs, and the epilogues then set that number to infinite
