Final Key Iron Man is used. Speed is equal and both start 20 Meters apart. SBA otherwise. SFV Akuma is used because the lion mane hairdo is awesome.

Isn't rather in-character for Iron Man to stay in the air and shoot?

Akuma can jump and some of his AoE can reach high into the sky, but Iron Man is mobile enough to dodge basically anything, it would be a bit of a stomp.

He does it sometimes, but he also fights grounded with Mark 50/85 a lot more often than his other suits due to the melee nanotech weapons he has. He was very close to ground against Thanos in both Endgame and IW.

Plus when fighting against grounded opponents, tony never particularly goes that high into the air.

True, I forgot Tony's fights from IW.

Anyway, I'd say he kind of gets destroyed in CQC, he may be skilled and used to fight a variety of opponent, but Akuma's far beyond him in terms of martial arts.
Missiles, shapeshifting (for the armor), flight, blasters and info analysis would surely allow him to hold his own for awhile, but they aren't anything Akuma can't deal with or is used to fight against; he fights projectile users all the time, and has his own ki blasts and counters to them, acrobatics, other blasts, Ashura Senku and Kiai.
Also, the Shun Goku is a oneshot.

Class T is definitely a problem, Akuma is powerless against Tony on that field, but it's not like he's a grappler or is used at doing it often (although he restrained Thanos' hand with his shapeshifting armor), nor Akuma wouldn't adjust himself once he undestands that.

It isn't really in-character for Tony to get far into the air from what I've re-watched, but if he does it for whatever reason, he wins.

Overall, I vote Akuma.

I like this conceptually, and I wish I could add much more, but I think Akuma would win this.

I'd add that Akuma could very likely go for a Shun Goku Satsu at any moment because he despises people whose power was granted through anything that wasn't inherent to them or training, as we saw from the Bison conundrum.

Good point, that means he might be pissed that Tony is this strong using Tech instead of Training. Akuma FRA in any case.

Exactly.

Akuma usually refrains using the Shun Goku Satsu, usually only using it to finish someone up or if he fully believes the opponent is "worthy" of it, which is tied to how well they do against him but also with the factor of the fight dragging along.

But when people use technology, subterfuge or something that isn't inherent to them or borne through training and experience, he gets mad and goes to the Shun Goku Satsu almost immediately, after just trying his hardest to pummel them about for a bit to teach them the true province of power.
