The Nemesis breaks into the wrong damn store and now he has to live with the consequences and fight the disgruntled minimum wage employee that he caught on a bad day, and oh boy is she not going down without a fight.

Speed equalized, both are 9-B. Fight takes place in the pizzeria place.

Let's say for perks Nemesis has Enduring, Overwhelming Presence, Predator and Thanatophobia

Uh sir you're gonna have to pay for that (1.392 MJ):

The Attendant of all people, didn't expect a match for them! Love it though!

VCRPG is going through a minor revision regarding thread matches, but in the meantime what's actually combat applicable for The Nemesis? I've head Dead By Daylight has a bunch of abilities that aren't actually applicable for threads and I'm not knowledgeable on the verse at all.

Okay okay so the immortality is not combat applicable (or at least not likely) and to just quickly go through what the current perks here do

Enduring means that when he gets stunned (or in this case hurt) he has less recovery time meaning he can retaliate faster.

Overwhelming presence means that items deplete faster as long as she is close to him.

Predator means that he can basically just find her easier if she runs away. Survivors leave scratch marks when they run and Predator makes them more tight knigt.

Thanatophobia basically just means if she's injured she'll be doing things slower than normal.

Nemesis' main features are his punches, his ability to summon two zombies to work alongside him, and the tentacle which can infect with the T-Virus and can hit people at a range.

Thank you, that helps a lot honestly.

First, I'm genuinely shocked Attendant has the AP advantage they do here. It's about a 2.69x advantage, which isn't totally overwhelming, but it is a surprising AP advantage. However they're completely outclassed in Lifting Strength, meaning Nemesis can completely pin them if they ever full on grab.

Predator isn't likely super advantageous here, there's almost no reason Attendant would back off enough to get out of sight. They don't have any stealth tactics and have never been shown to try to set up an ambush for opponents, so Attendant will likely stand their ground and stay in the starting fight area.

Unsure how effective Overwhelming Presence will be, it will definitely affect some resources Attendant has, but other items don't really 'deplete'. Thanatophobia will be a pain, does it go away with healing at all? Attendant has a few healing options they might want to use when that happens. Enduring will just make Nemesis sturdier, which of course is no good.

Ranged attacking with the tentacles isn't ideal at all for the Attendant, but they have their own ranged equipment so it's unlikely they'll be zoned out by it. The zombies actually might be less effective than normal, considering Attendant is used to being outnumbered while on the job, has two AOE attacks, and has the AP advantage on them. However the T-Virus is interesting, it seems to make Nemesis stronger the more Attendant is infected? Or am I mistaken?

On Attendant's side, they actually have a number of ranged options thanks to their Light Gun, The Walkman, Pop Rocks, Fire Crackers, The Camera, Frisbee, and amusing the Whoopie cushion. They can certainly play the range game just as well.

A variety of healing options is also good, especially the Mint Gun giving Attendant temporary regeneration of health too.

The real dangerous item in the Attendant's arsenal is the Soda, the sugar rush gives them a bonus attack and an increased evade stat until they take damage and have to refresh it. Effectively they're giving themselves a speed advantage any time they use it, and if they can avoid/heal off Thanatophobia? That will make Attendant obnoxious to deal with.

Ticket Spool is probably useless for trying to land 'stun', since I doubt with the LS advantage Nemesis will be restrained by it. However Camera's 'stunning' flash doesn't seem to be resisted with this perkset, which will make Nemesis and the zombies less threatening in that case. Also without any poison/nausea immunity, amusing Nemesis can be weakened and poisoned by the whoopy cushion...Which is a very funny mental image.

I need some answers on Nemisis' abilities still, like the Virus' effects and if Thanatophobia can be healed, but I think I'm leaning Attendant. They have a somewhat decent AP advantage, have a lot of ranged options and will likely use them a lot staying out of Nemesis' range for the LS advantage, they've very experienced in fighting groups of opponents at once which will make the zombies less threatening, Walkman Blast and the Disposable Cameras can even hit multiple foes at once, the Soda can give the Attendant an effective speed advantage for landing and avoiding hits, they have a variety of healing options to keep themselves in the fight even as they take damage, some of their own status effects that seem effective with 'stun' and 'poison', and they just have a lot of gear to keep versatility and avoid the penalty of running out of items with Overwhelming Presence.

Nemesis probably wins or gains a heavy advantage just by grabbing though, and I might be wrong on the Virus and Thanatophobia, which if I am those could heavily weaken my reasonings that I think Attendant has the advantage here...

It goes away with healing but the healing action itself will be slower as a result.

The T-Virus thing is more a game mechanic. The more people Nemesis infects throughout the match, the stronger he becomes and the more range his whip has. In this case it's probably fair to just put Nemesis in his strongest, tier 3 form right off the bat as the only difference in this case, practically, is the tentacle is longer. For the zombies or the tentacle to actually inflict damage, the Nemesis needs to infect them first, which means he has to hit them with the tentacle first, which infects, and then does damage the next hit.

Understood, though having so many healing options, a regeneration option, and an item that increases action and dodge speeds will likely help a lot. Plus once Attendant is healed, Sugar Rush makes it easier to avoid hits in the first place, making it harder to inflict.

Understood.

In that case I think I vote Attendant for the reasons I listed. While not super intelligent that are decently competent as a fighter and have experience fighting groups of monsters, they have range, they have AOEs, variety of healing, regeneration included, a general use speed boost, and status effects they can make use of, all while having a decent AP advantage.

I think it's a general Versatility, Experience, and AP advantage against a LS advantage. Attendant has NO answer to the LS, but I think more often than not, especially thanks to their own range and versatility, they can take the win.

Also I plan on doing more DBD matches at some point. Just need to find good opponents.

Unfortunately they're kinda weak AP wise
9-B can be such an obnoxious tier for finding opponents, you never realize how many AP stomps exist until you start actually comparing values we have...

I do have a calc that could potentially be an AP upgrade.

but it could also only apply to The Nemesis and it's not that big of an upgrade so who knows

I hold out hope for you at least, I know what it's like to have your verse stuck in a boring area and have to bank everything on a potential upgrade...

at some point I'll comb trhough lore again and see what's up.

I also need to make a page for the new killer (that nobody likes besides me apparently)

but I'm not expecting many upgrades

It would change the AP advantage to a 1.69, which is a pretty decent change, but I'm not sure that really negates any of the advantages listed for Attendant in that case.

Attendant needs to land more hits to win, obviously, but the mix of range, the advantage their Soda gives in dodging and landing more hits, having two AOEs, and being able to use status effects to keep control of the flow of the fight means Nemesis still needs to work pretty hard for his win-cons here, either getting a good grab and not letting go/just pumbling the Attendant a bunch and overwhelm their healing reserves.

Nemisis is still technically at an AP disadvantage, which just doesn't seem good in the face of versatility AND experience for this kind of situation,
