oh right, curious on the thoughts on Fate S/R. playing it rn and I am enjoying it a lot. (Especially since it's easy on my power-scaling brain, I wanna watch Fgo's plot since I know that's considered good. But uh Fate GO gives my power scaling brain a headache.)
Yes but these statements are usually made when Single target or very small AOE arts are avaliable. But fair enough. Though I'm not sure Tio's statement is a retcon.
Like I mentioned, magic evasion quartz becomes available in Cold Steel as the only way to dodge arts + We know quartz are canonic...
Eh Fair? but at the same time even in cold steel 3 it's straight up said that if an enemy is hard to hit, you should use arts on them. Not a direct "arts can't miss" statement, but definatly means arts are better to use against hard to hit enemies.
It's not just a gameplay thing, though it's acknowledged in the story. In the crossbell games Tio straight up says "Arts can not miss" or well more Specifically, she says in regards to her orbal staff which is compared to arts in function. "Unlike normal arts, there is a chance my attacks will...
OH another thing I'm curious about. How should we take the "Arts can not miss" statements?
On one hand people have dodged them in cutscene. On the other hand They are stated to not miss in gameplay, and act like that. + they only started missing in cutscene AFTER the magic dodge orbments have...
iirc, it was breifly discussed but deemed multiversal was too inconsistant? But I might have misunderstood the conversation from earlier in the thread.
though speaking of descriptions. an enemy description says this from reverie.
"A Zero Guardian that guards key locations. It pierces targets with arrows that shatter the very bounds of time and space."
Possible immesurable speed feat?
Same! i've been looking everywhere for it and it's driving me insane. I keep seeing it brought up.
like I know a enemy in Cold steel 4 is stated to have seemingly infinite power, and several "All of creation" And "space and time" statements Which are probably more helpful for arguing higher...
oh I know there are weird feats, and I've seen some pretty odd scalings for fate generally. But I'm not invested enough into fate to debate on if the average servant get's to Planet level (one of said scalings I've seen) or higher. (Planet level as we understand it anyway's. I know barely enough...
you know I'm getting into the fate series a little bit. (mostly playing the games. Currently playing fate SR), and it's kind of hilarious to me that. Character's are either Island level to small country level to multicontinental for very VERY few NP... Or 1-C. There is zero in between. Or if...
Oh right I keep forgetting to ask. But where is Mcburns s-craft ever compared to a supernova. I see it used for scaling all the time but never actually see the description.
yeah but I'm more thinking more complicated profiles.
Weissman comes to mind, specifically cause he has the Aureole. Which is probably gonna be a headache in terms of putting it's hax and abilities. Since it does a lot of stuff.
Though I feel it might help to have a unified "combat orbmant"...
I remembered this thread after Sky remake was announced + there's also farewell o zemuria coming out in less then a week.
a lot to feats earch and I wish more people where interested in this verse. Would make thisgs so much easier.
I know Finite speeds are useless because Everyone more or less scales to immesurable in Persona and Megaten (And yes I am aware they are the same verse I just always seperate them in my head.)
But I was wondering what the most impressive Finite speeds where.
off the top of my head, I know...
^
it seems like the general consensus for AP is 4-A (currently before any DLC's, or anything people could have missed.) but didn't see anything on speed.
People have tried to downgrade RPG verses before under the premise that special moves do not fit the power level in story. there for special moves are gameplay mechanics and shouldn't count.
Well I'll still try to replay and refresh anyway's and try to give a better explination of my feelings and a different perspective after I'm done. You're still free to disagree however even after I do this If I still end up agreeing with the idea black holes = physical's after my refresher...
I don't mean to sound condecinding if I came off like that.
IT could potentially be argued those are low ends. Especially since Stronger Nevi can survive the Micro black hole's Kat generates.
Especially since i'm pretty sure other decently highly rated character's Do have similar low ends...
I’m not sure how it’d be an outlier if it’s due to a normal power.
Just because it’d be the only reason their physical’s are Super high doesn’t necessarily mean an outlier. See various verses with one off powers that scale super high but still scale to their physical’s.
Unless there is...
I think if it’s directly called a black hole by a reliable source with no real contradictions it should be good to go.
Plus Yeah I’m pretty sure GR gets higher then the planetary due to some arguments I saw.
Ok I'm sorry if I sound nitpicky at this point, but where is the source of Mcburn's s-craft hitting like a supernova.
is this a line from the japanese version or what? I've seen it but NEVER seen a source for it.
(Plus as me and Zero talked about It's literally just way easier to scale Rean...
Bump? Sorry if that's not allowed.
But I'd love to see some conversation around tales again. Especially since I feel like the profiles are kinda old. I'm playing through tales games starting with Xillia (it's the easiest one I've got access to. I'm missing some other's unfortunatly.)
You know what fair, however Vermillion apocolypse should be different. Even as a freshly woken up Knight it did pose a threat to Begining of 4 Class 7. So the downscaling method should work from that way.
Admitedly forgot about that one.
Though there are other methods of down scaling Class 7...
few small corrections.
Class 7 Beat the soldat piloted by some nobody, and then immedeatly got thrown into a fight with Scarlet Piloting a Spiegel. A much faster and superior unit to the Soldat. and they specifically only lost because they had now way around the reactive armor of the Spiegel...
