Vs battles wiki pet peeves

So from what I've gathered from looking here and on the rvr thread, Strym really has just been pulling this:

I don't know why would it not make it less worse, as I make this kind of joke like a lot of times, @GreatIskandar14045 and @RM97 can testify for this, given that we usually say this kind of stuff in DMs and whatnot.

Crass humor exists Fuji, I am not the only one in the world who uses it, and surely I am not the last.

Personally I try to have an open mind since different people have different standards on the line between dark humour and actual bigotry, but I honestly can’t take something like “Trans people don’t say they’re men though, even though they are” in any good way. Like in what way is this a “dark joke”?
 
Another part of the issue after one becomes accustomed to a certain environment/culture, because we firmly held on to a belief (in this case, that such culture only fosters humorous interactions), we ourselves don't realize how wrong we can be. We effectively gaslight ourselves that our thoughts and ideas aren't or can't be harmful because we find them harmless, when nevertheless they can in fact contribute to such harmfulness.

i really am not affected by this at all. Nobody is going out to witchunt Strym. And if im correct Strym was a decently respected person. So its likely disappointing for people that Strym said transphobic stuff. Besides people are gonna move on by tomorrow unless new stuff comes up.
 
Lephyr responses are reminding me somewhat of the Tumblr phenomenon when someone makes a strawman argument and like 10 of the replies end up proving that strawman to exist
