he is neiher picking a future or changing past.
It's literally never even stated in the manga that he picks a future, all that's said is that he rewrites the future. How does that work? He quite literally rewrites things in the future. Wonder why he said "I broke your bankai in the future"...
yhwach actually counters urashiki, urashiki won't see yhwachs attacks coming as the way urashiki "sees" the future is by going back in time repeatedly, but yhwach attacks will catch him by surprise as his attacks come directly from the future, hence a dead urashiki is unable to go back in time...

DK clearly died in ch 331 with the ending scene, I guess the commandments can't be killed through conventional means?
I'm pretty sure mimihagi doesn't scale to the weakened SK, it only managed to replicate the feat by holding togethter the 2 parts of the SK. Base yhwach also called mimihagi inferior to himself.
the whole "control the flow of souls" was a mistranlsation from a fan to start with, and it's being used as evidence lol, thought you guys would've corrected that by now.
Yh, even context wise it doesn't make sense to set up the almighty being able to "change" the future, if it was just the same way as explained in the previous chapter, something anyone can do. festing at ichigo's house. It wasn't confirmed to be a remnant of his power either, just suspected to...
