Finally coming back to this.
Bro, you should re-read it again
Contrary to popular belief, the fictionality of Monika's universe
does not make it lower than a "baseline" reality, as while it's a videogame for the
Metaverse Enterprise Solutions and
the Player,
it is stated to be as real as the universe where they reside in, making both worlds on the same level of existence. Furthermore,
the MES implied that their world is also a simulation and
they've been researching ways to control it similar to how Monika does with hers, to then
claim that a control on her level is unrealistic to have rather than not having any kind of control at all. Because of these factors, as both of these universes share the same nature and have no existential difference, the digital nature of Monika's universe should not be brought up in an attempt to downplay her or downgrade her powers/statistics.
Yeah, both worlds exist on the same level not being fiction, that was the point.
While it is true that you don't really need R - F relationship, you still need to prove there are underlying meta-narration/plot that governs the reality for plot hax
I mean yeah but that's the point of the OP. "Peter Pan" (fake name btw because Dante says its a demon disgused as PP) is creating that meta-narrative forcing the whole "
The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up" story then manipulating anyone inside the dream to follow that story.
Are we trying to downgrade Monika's Plot Manipulation here or what? Let's stop derailing the discussion. If anyone believes Monika's Plot Manipulation is inaccurate, you're free to make a separate CRT about it (which I doubt it'll even pass, lol).
I have to say "please read the thread". I'm not trying to downgrade anything, I'm using an example that is in the Plot Manipulation page for other users to see what characters qualify thus I'm using Monika as a
legal precedent.
All you said is irrelevant. Nowhere in the page does it say the world needs to be equal to other worlds, and as I pointed in my other post it doesn't need to be fictional to someone in order for them to create or control said plot.
Anyways. The point is that Peter Pan or the demon posing as him is creating his own "Peter and the Lost Boys" narrative, forcing people to follow the rules and the story he apparently writes in his head, in a dream world that he controls and affects the real world as the kids trapped inside are fine eating and drinking whatever Peter gives them there.
Now the idea behind me using other characters as precedents is that having X ability doesn't disqualify the feat from being Y too. Case on point Monika who controls the files of the game and gets Info 2 but also Plot because... she controls the files lol. There are other cases, the
Old Man of Wandering mountain writes the whole story in his book and the world changes because of it, a feat which is text manip and fate but is given Plot Manipulation because of it, which is similar to Castlevania's plot hax which is just text as it is manipulating books and the story within them and yet is also accepted as Plot. There is also
this guy who literally traps a kid in a book and starts making up a story as he goes with the characters being forced to follow the story and, like the other examples, it isn't argued to be only text or fate but is actually given a mix of them.
I'll be very busy in the coming days so this is my final point regarding the thread, if it gets accepted then good if not then
burn the double standards so be it.
Also, I think I didn't make it clear but whatever gets accepted any demon would get resistance to. Dante makes it clear Peter's demonic powers are even weaker than the Marionettes he fought in Mallet Island so it would stand to case everyone would be able to shrug it off like Dante did.
