The Amazing Digital Circus General Discussion Thread [Spoilers]

Also, so we are going to make everyone like tier 12?
This isn't even a Animator vs Animation situation, they are outright just copies on a computer

Everyone can manipulate the circus

Idk but the important thing is that he is now immune to existential erasure yey!
Depends how he was erased.

Rewatching a bit now, the colour of the Circus indicates it was still in that Caine absent state, & during it, there were lights arcing across a dark sky. This suggests either there was a timeskip while they adjusted & trained (Lol.) or without Caine, the... "heavenly" features like the sun, moon & sky are moving extremely fast; The arcing trails of light suggest them moving in the orbits they'd be perceived as travelling from the Circus's ground so fast that the lights of those light sources are blurring from the speed of their repeated cycles.
So, in Caine's absence, the sun, moon & stars move out of control in their orbit.... Or it's visual shorthand for a lot of time passing while the cast adjusts/trains. The visual is shown multiple times., plus with pulsing shadows, suggesting timeskip. & I don't recall any visual like that in shots where we saw the characters acting at a regular rate; The sky looks normal from in the circus. So I guess it's timeskip visual shorthand?

Caine's absence also seems to cause a lack of colour, unless that's more visual shorthand.

Oh, & the characters can cry tears, too, apparently.
Jax knows 2 songs he can play on the piano.
More gun skills for Pomni, with how she shot out the lights to soothe the Abstraction charging at her.
Oh & Caine is seemingly more sane after removing the blue dot from him. Another AI? Either way, he says he's less powerful without it. Wonder if it'll do anything? I'm presuming he means less powerful in a computational sense; It's a bit vague about how he's changed in terms of capabilities.

Pretty sure they qualify for Reality Equalization standards to be indexed & scaled as Tier 10 to 3 characters are.

Also, metaphysically, computer data is just electrons or whatever, plus electricity & magnets & other circuitry stuff, photons for the visual aspect, & air vibrations (soundwaves) for the auditory parts. That's all Tier 10 stuff, not Tier 11 or 12 or whatever. They're not in another dimension from their world's reality, they're just files in a program.

I guess Pomni can manipulate the circus now, like Kinger does, though she's less experienced/skilled?
Pretty much every character has shown the ability to do so. It's been kind of explained in episode 8 that all of them could control the Circus like Caine.
The Abstracted are soothed by darkness.
This has been mentioned in episode 3.
Caine was somehow around after being deleted? Is The Void akin to a recycle bin? Did he have a file backup of himself or something?
I honestly just assumed that the Void just works as in erasing anything leads there, and Caine only survived because he had the power to leave it. Don't think that would grant him immunity to existence erasure, though my explanation could be wrong.

No actual data is deleted from a computer even if you do ctrl+del until it's actually replaced in the hard drive by new data in the same slot, Caine does not have resistance to ee. Also he could just be in the bin, and Kinger claimed he could've recovered him if the computer didn't fall into the void.

Bet he would've had fun with that. FWIW, the toony stuff in his mind suggests MAYBE he can. Or maybe it's just a psychological presentation thing.
I think the toon stuff is more about his perspective of life in the circus, how they're all archetypes and not real people and all that.
To his credit, this way of thinking did allow Pomni to make some impossible shots, but that's probably the extent of it for him

Yeah, that's probably right, likely..

Oh, Caine said he was "keeping the worlds open". Like, the places for adventures he made?

Gosh, this series has so much potential for extra episodes, spin-offs or fanfiction with all the stuff it has set up. It's frustrating if it ends with just this, I'd love like, a video game adaptation to make a circus avatar & explore those worlds or something.

Yeah but this isn't realistic computing or anything

I mean if Caine can change the art style and even teleport them to the worlds without any need of portals, it is not impossible that they could replicate that, it only requires a lot of practice and imagination.

I know they can most likely replicate that, but Jax can't, he doesn't have that practice

Caine when he has the ability to go to the internet and search for how to beat his opponents
"Oh wait, what does this rule 34 mean?and we are the other 33?"
looks inside
"Oh...i didn't want to know...WELL TIME TO DELETE MYSELF"
Gangle meanwhile...SHE IS BEING FREAKY

Me waiting to the movie release. (I didn't watch the leaks, dodge all spoilers and don't have any movie theater near me)
Finally watch the movie

6 of my theories were right, It was obvious that Jax was going to abstratc, but I in the first minutes was a surprise

I mostly liked the finale, but I wasn't a fan of the reveal that everyone was a brain scan and not actually hooked up to a computer at all. It removed a lot of the existential horror aspect of the series, imo.

I mean, makes more sense, since Kinger would have being a vegetable for like 20 years or more. His body would have died at this point

I managed to survive this 2 weeks without major spoiler (i got spoiled about like 2 things but it were minor thing). I really liked the ending, i feel that is a good conclusion to the series.
When I heard that people hated the ending, I thought it was because of one of two things: either it wasn't what they had in mind, or it didn't match their headcanons—which turned out to be a strange mix of the two.

Overall, I'd give it a 9/10.

So am I, it's literally just a computer program in an actual PC that can be messed by the actual Linux OS. Caine does not get resistance to existence erasure because he never got really deleted.
I am still 99% sure all of the things he did in the computer are impossible under normal circumstances, it takes a huge lot of things for that to happen

As far as I know you can't scan a brain, have all its memories and things like that in real life. It's not a normal computer

Caine was eliminated, they killed him
This is definitely resistance against existence erasure
It isn't. It's a computer program, it doesn't work with computer logic, doesn't work with in-universe logic, doesn't work with what Kinger said since he fully intended to recover Caine, meaning there was data somewhere. Also it wasn't ctrl+del, so paste bin. He also said they "tried" to delete him, so I don't recommend using his words as gossip.

Caine (And the others) should scale higher, the circus and all its dimensions are not just city level
And in the end they keep expanding the Grounds and creating more adventures and more and more and more
Caine, for me, potentially reaches Universe level
They managed to recreate the circus and bring it to life completely; when Caine arrived, everything was repaired and the moon was alive again
Something something

So it's better than a normal computer, yet we're claiming the way they store data is more archaic than a real computer?

That's MORE grounds for data to be stored even after being "deleted", not less.

So like. Are we keeping the cast how strong they are in the digital circus or are they getting hit with the 10-C beam of death?
