All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

the 'constantly be shown' thing is not true thats not what op was saying
you just need 1 comparable feat
there's like 5 ftl-mftl feats but no one has bothered to post them for some reason
'You need 1 comparable feat'
Awesome so SMT has no speed rating and no AP because it has no multiversal/immeasurable feats, it's all in the lore. Nice, Demi-Fiend is a Goku victim now.
VSBW is extremely inconsistent with its methodology.

If DB had a 1 trillion c statement in the lore we'd allow that as backup for these multipliers.

Fun fact, if the multipliers get axed, and we're keeping the Kamehameha as scaling far above physicals, Super Perfect Cell's key is gonna be "At least Small Star level, likely far higher, Varies, up to Solar System level with Kamehameha"

sounds better
I don't get the author intent argument because powerscaling goes against author intent. Serious author intent in powerscaling means 'Saitama one punches everyone because that's the point of his character' becomes a Serious and Valid argument. I Tour De Explored this.

unless they have a value, much higher with charged attacks seems ideal

Outside of specifically the Frieza chain featuring Kaioken and SSJ1, there is no more of this stacking 100 different multipliers.
Characters just now scale off the actual showings, or to be more precise the actual tangible and usable anchors like Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta, Cell's statement, Roshi, and whatever the general best feat a group of characters scale off of that's consistent.
Speaking strictly for speed right now, that would mean everyone scales off Piccolo's 0.54c feat, KK20x and SSJ1 bolster SSJ1 Goku to 27c (50% Frieza at 10.8c), or maybe if we want to be really generous, including the Saiyan Saga Kaioken's, in which case, 1080c
This isn't the what the multiplier thread is aiming for, no? Like it has nothing to do with the 1:1 power and speed UES stuff, just the multiplier stacking?

isn't the thread accepted already
this debate about AP/UES between charmander and chariot should go somewhere else 🗿

Thread is still open currently - but I'm certain there are enough votes for it now to be concluded, and for a follow-up Content Revision thread to be created to update the profiles.

Applying real life logic to a verse where we have characters that can go quatturoGokuSolostrillion (via multipliers) times FTL and shoot blasts capable of destroying planets gotta be my favorite thing of all time

You know Goku would be stronger if he followed real world physics because he could:
1. Go up to arbitrarily close values of C to hit with any amount of finite force
2. Exert enough heat and gamma radiation to sterilize the planet with every hit...starting at the Saiyan Saga. By the Buu Saga, he's sterilizing clusters of solar systems.
3. Assuming his FTL feats work like a warp drive, instantly shred opponents while moving invisible to them
4. Fight for 24 quadrillion hours
5. Lift entire galaxies (and thus could crush someone into a black hole by grabbinig them really hard)

If Goku followed real world physics he wouldn't be able to do any of that because ki isn't a thing irl

tho trying to use reality as a rule in fiction is stoobid anyway

I was using it as a sense of 'assume the joules actually work as they should, now what'
Because if Goku's physical force operated like physical force he'd immediately destroy the solar system he fights in with the first punch
alternatively he just turns into a black hole.

well if Goku hypothetically moved at relativistic speed under more realistic physics that would cause devastating environmental destruction and probably cause a mass extinction and then he'd probably just die

True
BRICKKU who CANNOT EVEN USE HIS POWERS WITHOUT DYING

You need speed feats for DBZ manga? What do you think about this one? Goku and Frieza watched Namek Dragonballs fly from Namek to Earth in 1-2 minutes. In anime they moved their heads in sintance with dragonballs flying, so it can mean they have this fast reaction speed

i mean i can watch supersonic jets in the sky but that doesnt mean im supersonic

Kid Goku had a similar feat with Earth DBs. Pretty sure it was rejected because it was argued Dragon Balls accelerated through their journey, so the same can be argued here.

Fait, but Namek dragonballs are not that big and if that jet was moving at, for example, relativistic speeds, you wouldn't see it
again, i'm still not sure about using characters watching things move as a speed feat, surely there is something else, can't we scale early super characters to the BOG universe-crossing shockwaves? or some instances of characters sniping MFTL spaceships? that'd be like quadrillions of times lightspeed right? and we can stack multipliers on top of that

Kamehameha is OP Babyyyyyyyy, y'all gotta respect the Turtle Schools BEST tech

What about all the in-lore multipliers? Like Goku becoming 20x stronger after training with King Kai, are they gonna get rid of that too?

Isn't that just 90% of DB in general?

Think so yeah

Honestly, after reviewing the arguments and the texts, I agree that they could be much, much shorter, and I feel they are deliberately lengthened to cause reading fatigue.

Although I don't intend to offend or demonize anyone, the way this is being addressed feels quite toxic on the part of those supporting the thread.

Honestly, that's sort of how Chariot writes, he likes to cover every little thing in a debate.

It's chariot's entire brand, I tried to be a bit more concise, but there was just so much fluff to reply to.
