They don't.
That test was bad to put it mildly. Being exposed to enriched uranium only does not fully simulate the effects of a nuclear bomb at all. It only simulates to radioactive fallout of said bombs. It would be like putting my phone in 2 inches of water and then claiming it can survive in the bottom of the mariana trench.

Dosen’t really matter, the intent in the show is to test if a supe is tough enough to survive a nuke. I doubt the writer thought any deeper than that.

They can "survive" a nuke. Sure, like the radioactive fallout of it. Which was what the test was testing. Which could also be argued to be the intent
Surviving in a radiation chamber is not the same as tanking a nuclear explosion to the face, and it's pretty silly to take that interpretation from what Soldier Boy said. Obviously he was talking about radiation only or at least the experiment within context of operating in a Cold War gone hot scenario where Supes should be on the battlefield despite being exposed to a nuclear blast from long range, and then live through radiation from it.
Yeah, He can survive the Little Boy 1 kilometer away for the same reason this Centurion tank did.
The dialogue clearly shows that they are referring to the ionizing radiation part of the bomb. Which would be what Soldier boy is referring to when he said he could "survive the bomb".

Like I said it doesn’t really matter, vought has clearly found ways to test if supes can survive a nuke. And we have other statements throughout the show besides the Madeline stuff putting them at that lvl from what I remember. This just builds further constancy for top tiers.

One thing that annoys me is that Kimiko is just fine with taking V1. She would survive the virus sure but she would survive everything else too.
She would become completely immortal and then watch everyone die slowly even if they somehow pull off a perfect victory.

I feel like a third season of Gen V would've worked well as an epilogue of sorts to what the world would look like post Homelander/Vought
But alright, I guess we'll just get more Jensen Ackels (And also a show in Mexico, for some reason...I guess that's sort of interesting since we mostly see how the United States is effected)

It would hilarious if all that hype from Gen V leads to her getting one shotted by Homelander without the mc plot armor.

Honestly, whenever Kimiko speaks, my ears bleed a little. I agree with Butcher.
They could have you know, slowly made her learn to speak over the season, build humanity and keep her this endearing yet violent character so when it happens it hits extra hard.
But that would be good writing. So now I will be rooting for her to die so my ears can heal.
