I see, she really did not use it effectively, huh. Opening up reality to throw 6 projectiles at my enemy.
I do wonder if Esquie is stronger than the paintress from that though, at least physically. He was tanking those hits with literally no damage.

Esquie definitely isn't stronger than Renoir or Aline, Maelle says it's dangerous for him to be even near Renoir in Act 3 and Aline is equal or even a tad bit stronger than him overall. Esquie should still be like god tier because he upscales from Osquio

I wouldn't be surprised if Act 3 Renoir was stronger than Aline. He probably would have won against our team if not for Alines intervention, and we beat her in act 2. I feel like in control over the canvas she is stronger of course, otherwise he could have erased the people in the canvas from the start, but in combat he is better. And of course her powers had potentially dampened due to preventing the weakening the full gommage for 67 years, which is something to consider.

With Esquie he probably has the best physical stats of everyone. If he fought the paintress or Curator he'd probably lose to their hax, but seeing as Esquie was very likely made to be the strongest by OG Verso it makes sense. I feel likes it's also important to note that it was only Act 3 Renoir that Maelle was worried about. Nobody was worried about Esquie's safety against the paintress

Aline is just explicitly a stronger painter than Renoir, she was holding back in her fight especially with that 3rd phase. Act 3 Renoir is weakened as much as Aline is, it was never stated that holding back Gommage was weakening hee in any significant way, Nevrons trapping chroma doesn't matter since Renoir can't harness that chroma, he just takes away control over all of chroma Aline had while he himself is weaker as a painter, I don't really see any reason to assume he's stronger than Paintress all of a sudden. She also didn't really know what level of power painters possessed at that point since that was before she regained her memories so obviously she wouldn't be worried about Esquie at that point.
