Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

As far as I know this is it, when it comes to thread warnings. Could be more, I only looked through the ones he made. Two in 2024, one in early 2025, for the exact same kind of behavior.
Then that is the most recent.

I think a year since the last (reported/warned) infraction for a relatively minor offense should be considered a pretty good timer.

I'm in favor of a warning.

Yes, and there is also a massive difference between outright severe insults and "Stop bullying me! Leave me alone! I am just trying to contribute!" That is not offensive, derogatory, or otherwise rule-breaking behaviour, just an emotional stressed-out overreaction. They are expected to happen every now and then, and we have to show tolerance in that regard. 🙏

Assuming it is indeed derailing, it at least doesn't seem malicious, so my suggestions would be something like:
  • Make the warning an official one and add it to the tracker if it's not already.
  • Thread-ban them for some duration wherever they're derailing if necessary.
I will add this one in the warning tracker incase no one else have an issue.

Just a general note that I think that we should strive to err on the side of compassion and mercy in cases where an offender is clearly not malicious, but in cases when an offender clearly is genuinely malicious, we should definitely not do so. 🙏

I agree, although I also must argue that sometimes it's subjective what qualifies as malicious.

This kinda got buried in other reports without a conclusion.
Vzearr has made another appeal. I requested him to leave it until now, and am comfortable posting it now, since it's been a month since the initial ban date.

Last appeal (and ensuing discussion) was back here.

My thoughts on it will be after another break, at the bottom of this post.

Hello, in this appeal, I am arguing that the extent of my ban should not have been maintained on the basis that I appealed multiple times, particularly when those appeals contained substantive reasoning, accountability, and proposed safeguards. An appeal system is meant to function as a corrective mechanism, not as a one-time allowance that becomes invalid purely through repetition. When staff dismiss an appeal solely because it is not the first one, without addressing the content of what is being said, the process stops being about correction or fairness and becomes purely punitive.

I am also arguing against the reasoning to keep my ban extended.

First of all, I take full responsibility for my conduct. I got frustrated and allowed it to override my regular judgment, and I failed to actually properly disengage when discussions became annoying to me. That was my failure, and I accept the consequences that followed. However:

Since the ban, my circumstances have fundamentally changed.

I am now on life changing medication that has significantly improved my emotional regulation, impulses (which were so severe I was scared to go outside), and overall stability, hell, I EVEN GOT MY FULL LICENSE (congratulations shall be accepted).

Because of this, I am more capable of disengaging from heated discussions where I get angry, recognizing escalation early, and stepping away before things turn unproductive. I am not asking staff to take this on faith and my words alone, I am confident this will be reflected in my conduct on the wiki if given the opportunity to come back fully.

Now, I'll get the main important thing out of the way; I was already fine with Vzearr being unbanned now (after one month) due to his previous appeal, and this appeal doesn't change my thoughts on that.

However, I do feel the need to point at an inaccuracy I see in his appeal. He says:

That is flagrantly not what happened. It was rejected because the appeal was insufficient in its content, didn't present sufficient accountability or sound enough reasoning for those who responded. The multiple appeals were an aggravating factor due to that lining up with times when Vzearr before had launched off multiple appeals for the same thing, days apart, without adding anything new of substance. Vzearr's framing of why the previous appeals were rejected is factually incorrect.

So....are we not gonna talk about this? The user deleted the message, but I saved an image beforehand so it could be seen easier.

"I can't wait anymore chariots delicious penetration as the virile americano enters inside the tight Zeno samas body. sexy Chariot is delicious tonight..." (Translated partial text)
@Jinsama talked about @Chariot190 having sexual intercourse with a DB character (Zeno) explicitly, talking about the former (Chariot) penetrating him and being "virile" (a strong sex drive, in this context). I don't have to explain why this is disgusting and inappropriate in any context about anyone, especially when done on the forum about a user. I don't know what punishment would be appropriate, so I'll leave that to higher staff to decide.

... Well that's disgusting. Would it be nitpicky of me to point out that the character referenced, Zeno, has the physical profile and behaviour of a child? Complete with playing like a child and everything?

Now that you mention it, that is another layer of gross-ness to tack on.

Reference image next to the adult Goku in case those aren't familiar with the character.
Mods can see, even if it gets deleted.
Lowkey forgot, my b.
But what the actual f.
Indeed.

And Goku is only 5 feet and 9 inches tall, to help clarify how little Zeno is even further.

Edit: Zeno also has a head that is quite large for the rest of his body, another physical trait that small children have, as the body literally catches up to the head as the child grows up.

This is why I was mad in chat lad, not the sexual undertones, but the fact it was Zeno.

Talking about me in a very sexual way is one thing, hell do it in a subtle way or clean way and I might even take it as a compliment, I'm not so thin skinned I can't take a joke or compliment even if uncalled for contextually, but within reference to a toddler-like character?

I want whoever the hell that person is gone, at least for some time till they realize "yo hey maybe taking about other forum user's like that especially in that context is kind of gross?"
Anyone remember when the same shit happened to AKM? I would consider this a lil bit more explicit.

Constant slander, hell just say you hate me or insult me, even sexual comments, I can handwave that, this place ain't that serious, but framing me in a pedophilic way or a "literal" baby character sexually?
Even as a kind of disgusting joke?
There's a PRETTY huge line when it comes to me when it comes to whatever like this, and that shit cleared it completely.
also I'm not even American-born, isn't obscure either, lots of people know that here, so there's that too which doesn't really matter but kind of shows we just saying whatever.

I also agree with a ban. Should it be permanent or "just" for a year or two? 🙏
Looking at their history, they seem to regularly participate in DBZ discussions normally as well, since as early as 2022.

So, I would say a year, since there's a real chance they'll come back and be normal again.

Maybe if they have a really good appeal I could support something less, but I certainly wouldn't accept ignorance of our policies given their time here.

Idk if ImageHelpers have tagging rights, but just in case (since this also happened with the Sean report), tagging @Jinsama

That reminds me of @Superscharbe posting this removed comment. And I went ahead to permaban them after this comment outed them as a full blown deliberate troll. Normally, I'm of the mentality that those who have been here for years are ought to know better not to just "Blindly call people you don't like pedophiles" while simultaneously pull the guilty until proven innocent card. @Jinsama does have one last chance to defend himself but otherwise, I can see a 1 year ban being justified.

I'm not sure how much that particular case matters for this one, since what Jin posted was a full blown sexual comment with particularly uncomfortable details.

Nevertheless, I do agree that they deserve to know why they are being reported and have some form of defense.

To be so honest
What possible "defense" could there be for that?

Like... huh?

Get that man gone

I guess like, if their account was hacked and they had proof of it but now had it under control.

Based on their goodbye messages, and years of activity, it doesn't really seem like they intend any harm, but we do have to take a strong stance against this sort of thing.

He seems to have no remorse for his actions and is just trolling on purpose, I'd say permanent.
I wouldn't say that's accurate. He's being a bit dramatic about his exit, but nothing suggests trolling.

"Sounded malicious, but its pure love for the DB support team, 1C upgrade and the massive respect i have for @Chariot190 and his debunk in year 2030"
"Take care and i wish you a lot of fun. Im more of a late starter with dragonball since i grew up reading novels and comics, then moved to webtoons and manga... but honestly, ive had the most fun with the DB community."

Seems more like a heartfelt goodbye with some humor in it.
