Megumi definitely held Sukuna back physically, since he's only a well-trained 15 year old. I think his real body (huge, muscular, four arms) would let him pack up Gojo h2h. But yeah the main reason Sukuna beats Gojo is Sukuna being wayyy stronger in the Domain clash.

I mean… more chapters doesnt inherently mean dragging it out. Thats just based on What happens In those chapters.

Dragged in the sense of trying to create more for the story than he likely set out to do or than needed. The story is primarily about teaching the aliens about Earth and sorcery while trying to establish heterogeneity between them with the humans. He can easily make a timeskip chapter, show us the Simurians have integrated and become friendly with Japan, and maybe two more chapters having implications more work is to be done or make parallels to JJK then end on a good note like JJK did.
