Beyond's JP website was updated. I poked around and there's some somewhat interesting stuff - it's all DeepL mind you so not all of it is going to be super trustworthy translation-wise. There's some pretty significant story stuff here to the point that it might actually be minor spoilers. Also some pretty cool renders.
"
The Dawn of a New Chapter - Cosmo Year 20X9.
The UTO Research Facility of the Galactic Federation, located on the Delason system planet Tanamar, was attacked by the Space Pirate Army led by Cyrax [Sylux]. Receiving the facility's distress call, Federation Headquarters dispatched Samus, who was on a nearby survey mission, to respond immediately."
Samus: "
A bounty hunter among the galaxy's elite, capable of completing any mission, no matter how difficult. Responding to a distress call, they head for a Galactic Federation base, but are caught in an unexpected accident and end up being transported to an unknown planet..."
Sylux: "
The mastermind behind the attack on the UTO Research Institute, a bounty hunter with a long-standing feud with Samus. Preparing for confrontation with the Galactic Federation Forces, Cyriac attacks research facilities across the galaxy, acquiring the Federation's latest technology one after another. Then, at a research facility on the planet Tanamar, he unexpectedly comes face to face with Samus." - Interesting that they call it a long-standing feud, for all we know she's only met him in Hunters.
Space Pirates: "
The mastermind behind the attack on UTO Research Institute, a band of raiders plotting to dominate the galaxy. Composed of various alien forms, classified by military branch and rank. After command-class officers were fused with Cyrax Metroid and their consciousnesses hijacked, the entire military now operates under Cyrax's command."
Metroids: "
Samus, having confronted Cyrax, noticed a familiar floating lifeform beside him. —An extraterrestrial lifeform, the “Metroid.” Created as an artificial lifeform, its superior biology has led to its repeated military exploitation as a biological weapon. The “Cyrax Metroids” are a strain cultivated by Cyrax, endowed with the ability to dominate the consciousness of their hosts." - In both this and the previous entry it seems pretty clear that Sylux's Metroids are mind-controlling the Space Pirates. It's kind of interesting, I wonder if he's the one who modified them, doesn't strike me as a science guy.
Lamorn: "
The race that once inhabited Planet Veyros. Among them, those born with crystals on their foreheads were able to wield psychic abilities. On the top floor of Chrono Tower, Samus glimpses the final will of the last of the clan, “The Last Ramon.”" - So yeah, the Lamorn are extinct and we just see their ghosts. Kind of a shame but I suppose it makes sense. Interesting how they go out of their way to say it's only a few that could use psychic powers.
The troopers actually have
their own page which contains actually a pretty huge spoiler -
what seems to be a further Suit upgrade to the "Beyond" suit, alongside what must be a late game cutscene.
The plot seems to feature both the troopers and Samus wanting to head back home, and the scene sees them finding a "master teleporter" to try (and presumably fail initially) to warp back to a known planet.. Anyways, the gameplay clips are in English, which is handy.
"
Together we forge ahead - By modifying Ramon's technology to fit Samus's gear and providing it, among other ways, they assist in the adventure." - It seems like MacKenzie will be adapting Lamorn technology for Samus to use.
There's some parts of the site, including blurbs from the individual troopers, that I can't easily translate since they're pictures rather than text I could copy/paste.
MacKenzie - "
As a mechanic, he handles maintenance and repairs for various vehicles, but he's also highly skilled as a computer technician. His timid nature has allowed him to avoid the worst situations time and again."
Tokabi, sniper guy with the black helmet. He's interesting, each trooper has a page quote and his is "May Solan light your path." He seems to be an outwardly religious individual, which is a first in the Metroid series. "
A solitary hunter who volunteered for the Federation Army seeking stability in life. He always carries an amulet shaped like an arrowhead and arrow shaft, believing its protection has saved him from perilous situations."
Duke, the older black guy. "
A veteran who has survived countless battles against the Space Pirates. His stubborn nature leads to constant clashes with superiors, but he is sincere and compassionate, a reliable presence on the battlefield."
Armstrong - the lady. Her quote is just her fangirling over Samus lol. "
Private First Class of the Galactic Federation Forces. Possesses exceptional structural knowledge and operational skills with vehicles, mastering them intuitively. Her bright and proactive personality leads to frequent problem-solving successes. She holds an idealized admiration for Samus Aran."
VUE-995. "
A combat android belonging to the Galactic Federation Forces. It pilots fighter craft, armored vehicles, and bipedal manned combat mechs in place of humans. While lacking programs governing emotions, instances of simulated emotional responses have been observed."
