Which I fully understand and agree with (my own reports are evidence of this, as this has been all my interactions with them). Though at this point we should simply let staff review what is here now and make their decisions, as we aren't adding anything new now

It's easy to get frustrated, and if people give very obtuse or stubborn takes it's easy to get angry and call them things. In this situation you can stick to calling the points nonsensical rather than speaking against the person though, and Sean does have a record of such behaviour. Intentionally stirring him up is obviously bad behaviour as well though. I'd agree with what's agreed to above.

I agree, while Sean is indeed at fault that he does or says things that give him a lot of bad rap, even to the point where a ban is necessary. And it speaks volumes when being banned for 3 or 4 years seems to do little to reform his bad habits. None of those are good reasons to provoke, publicly roast, or bully him; such as the case with Joycap's video. The people actually doing that and shitposting memes and should also be held accountable. "Bullying the bullies" is still considered bullying and unironically turns them into even bigger jerks.

Saying I should be ‘held accountable’ for a meme makes you sound like the British nanny state. The entire point of said meme was a case of ‘mate, this is what you sound like’, and if he doesn’t want to take anything away from that, that’s his prerogative, not mine.
Also, I didn’t archive that myself, more so the hosting site I used only allowed me to keep it up for 2 days without a user. I wanted to log in with my YT acc, but that wanted to ask for phone verification, and I really didn’t feel like doing that. So, may I ask where you managed to find another copy?

To clarify. I was not referring to you when I mentioned people instigating him. Also, I remain in agreement that Sean's actions deserve reprimand- in this case, in the form of a ban.
However. There exist users who appear to drive a form of joy from his "crashing out", and in the relevant thread appear intent to poke and prod at him until he does it again. That shit sucks and negates any hope, however distant, of an improvement in behavior.
People should stop ******* with Sean. People should report Sean when he gets antagonistic himself. These are my views.
I don't think I'd support a warning for just that video (though your broader activity may warrant it, if this is a consistent trend); however, I feel it appropriate that it often falls to us to serve as the nannies of the user base, when the children of the schoolyard find themselves incapable of behaving. We're not a government. We are a series of volunteers running a service. If people misbehave, by way of running foul of our rules, then it falls to us to deal with the childish bullshit. Rest assured, this entire situation is childish bullshit. Up to and including your video, deserving of rebuke or not.

For now, given the long track record on Sean's plate of this behavior, including several events in recent memory, I'm going to recommend a two-month ban. I will revisit the thread in question and determine if other particular actions are advisable in my opinion.

As for the video, I'll just say that when anything is uploaded to the internet it takes quite a while for its footprint to fully dissipate even after it's deleted.
Edit: It appears I may have misunderstood the point of the video at first. If it was meant to be from Sean's perspective, and was just pointing out how he sounded aggressive, then it probably doesn't deserve a warning by itself. Of course we can wait for Joycap to clarify too.

On this note, formally reporting @Vzearr for poor behavior in this thread. Initially wasn't so bad, eventually began instigating verse supporters with direct insults, ignored two general staff comments (first Random, then myself) to stop drama-baiting. He responded to mine directly with further toxicity (comment has been deleted, admins can of course view it). Recommending a warning for now, but I have a feeling in my gut that this is one of those wounds that will not be allowed to scab over and heal.

But I cannot force you to understand the basic morals at play, and how they fall against our most fundamental rules of politeness.

Ideally this will mean the report is able to pass by, and you will not prolong the issue with these efforts to have the last word. See, after reading everything, I don't. Because we are falling back again and again to the same patterns here. Vzearr has shown so much insistency that they have changed, pushed and pushed and pushed despite told that they just needed to be patient. But when push came to shove, they went back to the same behavior. Now they even, using their words, "challenge position" in an attempt to "exposed where someone hids".
Those aren't simple reactionary comments to me. Those aren't the words of someone that just needs a warning to properly get the memo. That's someone that seriously needs to start evaluating themselves and their behavior, that when practically everyone is telling them they're messing up, they deflect and shift blame. And we are not their therapists to keep holding on to the hope that they will listen. That they need to do themselves.
I refuse to keep giving the benefit of the doubt here. I would support a straight ban, of the absolute least a month.
I will not comment again on this. Just close this by saying that whatever decision staff comes to at this point, it is what it is, I support it.

My recommendation of a warning came before the following disaster, mind you; all that had transpired then was a toxic retort via the One Piece thread, and nothing more. I would like to hear at least one or two other opinions before we ban someone here. In light of the situation, I'll ping @Damage3245 @KingTempest @Reiner04 @Nierre as staff who had spoken on the respective thread (any others who see this are, too, welcome to weigh in, of course).
