Alright, I gotta admit that I got a little heated there, but after 6 years of undoing the damage of one Death Battle only for another to do the same thing to a wider audience (and nobody taking the issue seriously), anyone would have done the same.
Sean... I'll speak a last time (also because I am not sure if I can post here), as a genuine advice, grudges aside.
There is no "damage" done, there is not any "holy war" or whatever you fixated yourself with, it's all in your mind and nowhere else. Death Battle is a community, we are our own community, and there are many other VS communities who all think with their own parameters, standards, biases, etc. I learned
in the hard way that it's
impossible to convince literally everyone in every possible scaling platform in the big Internet, powerscaling is subjective and everything comes down to vibes, interpretations, ways to classify certain feats/statements, etc. There is no way that you can convince every random joe online about your takes, a lot of people just does not care, or simply does not take this hobby as seriously as we do.
You genuinely have to stop treating other fandoms as some kind of satanic cult whose entire purpose is downplaying your favorites. While some people are objectively that petty (personal experience too, but I won't expand on further here), most simply don't care that much and move on. It's not something you do when it comes to Pokémon, you behave the same way with DOOM or EarthBound entirely because of petty matchups (and I feel offended when you shittalk about EB and its fandom indeed given I am huge fan of it myself). You really should stop seeing yourself as a martyr of sorts when people become mean to you because of this behavior of yours, you are just being seen as an obsessed weirdo and nothing else. This behavior of yours is literally why you were banned from that Pokémon server, precisely because you are so abhrasive and refuse to listen to genuine suggestions for the sake of pushing whatever agenda you have.
Having these kinds of meltdowns is not making you look tough, cool or whatever, it just makes you look like someone who spends too much time online and gets angry at images. If anything, these rants would only give more material to people who target and make fun of you.
My advice? Just focus on few scaling communities made of people who genuinely value you for who you are, and stick there without worrying about what other random places say. The VS Battles Wiki isn't going to care about what other Wikis, Death Battle, Reddit, TikTok, etc. are going to say, because why should we? It'd be a waste of time, and it's not worth to waste so much effort and energy either to fight randoms online who ultimately won't matter in your life. It'd do wonders to your mental health, because the way I am seeing it, you're taking what's supposed to be a hobby
so seriously that is affecting you emotionally on a personal level.
