I'll use Black Flash's rejected amp as an example

Black Flash Multiplier (Jujutsu Kaisen): Rejected due to not being consistent with the scale of the verse as several attacks would be Moon level to Brown Dwarf level. Several characters have been able to withstand a Black Flash even if, in theory, the attack is ^2.5 stronger.

However the numerical rating varies depending on what unit is used to measure these attacks

Yuji in his last key is (possibly) 7.39 Kilotons, or 30919760000000 joules.
7.39^2.5 = 148.460560543 Kilotons (High 7-C)
30919760000000^2.5 = 5.316065e+33 Joules (5-B)

So which unit are we meant to go by for calculating amps like this and why?

The fact that we don't know which unit is meant to be being used is why we don't use these types of multipliers.

In jjk, it's expalined that it refers to cursed energy output.

IIRC, the cursed energy output starts with 2(from bonus black flash explanation chapter). so it'd at least be 2(⁸⅝⅖+½).

Basically it has to show which unit is affected.
