Basically I watched this short of Trxce and genuinely got interested how well humanity could do against withers (Trxce insanely lowballed Steve). Let's see how fair this matchup could get

Rules:
  • Speed is not equalized (could be changed if needed)
  • Wither can spawn wither skeletons
  • Human race have access to all it's technology, weapons and resources
  • Absolutely 0 prep time and prior knowledge for human race
Complete fodders who can't beat Pochita: 2 (@Mahek_The_Assassin_Silent_Killer); (@OrangeFR)

Absolute fodders who can't solo Grappler Baki:

Idk, planet exploded, maybe (incon):

By far the biggest problem is going to be the durability of the withers, which is town level. Nuclear weapons would be the easiest way to get rid of them, but humans are hesitant to use them as is, which would be especially true for countries that are allied to norway. Though as far as i remember, withers don't travel very far and they're also pretty slow in terms of travel speed, so keeping track of them and organising a coordinated response will be easier if they're all in the same general location for a long while.

The withers also don't exactly have the range or attack speed to hit most modern aircraft, so it might be possible to chip away at them with enough carpet bombing, strafing, and artillery, considering norway and it's surrounding countries are pretty well-equipped to handle a lot of international forces, since they're all a part of NATO and will have build plenty of facilities to support them and know how to work together. But if the starting location is remote enough i think humans might seriously consider using a nuke or two if they get really desperate and evacuate people, which is definitely the best wincon.

Either way, the withers are going to take a loooooooong time to seriously cripple humanity, especially if they spread out a lot, so they have plenty of time to figure out how to deal with them. I'll see what others think before i vote tho

2100 of these were made. Withers dont seem to have radiation or heat resistance.
Not sure if radiation will affect a flying charred three headed skeleton as much as it would living beings. Withers are at least immune to their own withering effect, poison, and harming potions heal them instead. They're also immune to lava despite it being able to harm Steve who is completely unaffected by Nether atmosphere that can instantly vaporize water.
They could also try dropping gallons of liquid nitrogen onto them from aircrafts but idk how practical that would be.
Withers are immune to freezing via powdered snow. Powdered snow is able to exist indefinitely in the Nether despite its temperatures.

Nuclear/radioactive armament or chemical weapons would probably be their main go-to here.
Again, they're immune to poison. We would have to hit them point blank with our city wiping nuclear weapons in order to do any lasting damage.

I guess in some poor village in the Norway
I could have suggested a better spot.
The place where Tsar Bomba was detonated.

In any case, I guess WMDs or any weapon in general (CBRN, explosive, kinetic, etc) that's powerful enough would suffice.

In this case direct kinetic energy attacks and shockwaves will be the main damaging effects since heat, radiation, corrosion, etc can't damage it.

Radiation ≠ withering effect, poison and harming potions. Even if it wouldn't have as much effect as it would on living tissue it would likely render their eyes unusable.

Lava is iirc at most 1250° C while the temperature of a W54 warhead's explosion would briefly reach millions of degrees celcius.

But anyway, Davy Crockett would be impractical idk why i suggested that, any other nuclear weapon would be far more effective.

Chemicals and radiation can be toxic but under our standards it wouldn't defend them from other effects involving biological manipulation or radiation manipulation.

They don't got any. They're just skeletons.

Poison and harming potions can affect inorganic beings like golems despite them not having any biology.
Undead mobs on the other hand are completely immune.

I think a combination of re-entry speed or at least hypersonic missiles and nuclear warheads should work...
Or if not nuclear weapons then at least a frickton of explosives...
(Imagine trying to build a missile/warhead the size of a goddamn asteroid and then slingshot it via the Sun or other planets and cosmic bodies and then send it right back at Earth at speeds like the Parker Solar Probe, 690,000 km/h (430,000 mph) aka 191 km/s (118.7 mi/s), aka Mach 558 aka 0.064% the speed of light.)

I guess Trxce was right - you can't take over the world with such amount of withers, but heavy weaponry won't do a jack shit to them, unless it's nukes or something similar

Yeah. Any nuclear weapons exceeding a yield of 150 kilotons should wipe out entire swarms of them at a time, which nations around the world still have plenty of. You're putting Withers against every mind in the world, every military and tactician that would work together when the situation came to light. Humanity FRA.
