I would ask that the following thread be reviewed for re-opening, as the reasons for closing and creating a new in a Staff discussion are meaningless.

In light of the recent comments, there seems to be a genuine vote confusion (among some of the staff here as well not having 100 percent certainty) here and it's gotten out of control and extremely messy.

There was genuinely no confusion on the part of the staff. On the other hand, the real "confusion" arose from Griffin's vote, which the OP considered option 2 and option 3, with Chariot emphasizing why this interpretation of the argument was incorrect.
On the other hand, the Staff has made sure to read the entire thread.

• Damage has reiterated multiple times that he has been rereading the thread.
• Dale has been following & responding to the thread arguments.
• Maverick voted based on what he read in the thread.
• Vietthai has participated in the entire thread, from the beginning, and made his vote clear.
• Lord Griffin has responded multiple times, directly addressing the arguments. There is no confusion on his part.
• DDM admitted read the thread and put his vote.
• I don't think I should mention Qaw, he was the one in charge of bringing the votes, and he's been there since the beginning of the thread.

We're still arguing despite options and summaries being posted which manages to fill the thread with more post than is needed.

In fact all the arguments have been brought up in the thread. There's nothing new to discuss, including the OP mentioning it, and saying he wouldn't not responding anymore.

I mean I already said I was tired of these long back and forth wall of text arguments that say the same thing over and over again. We aren't going to agree with each other. I agree with reaper about most of what's being said being nothingburger arguments or just objectively wrong. But I disagree on the outlier portion entirely.

I wasn't planning on responding anymore but since this is in response to the thread I'll tackle it since I have some issues.

This decision is extremely arbitrary, with at least 7 staff votes included, disrespecting the time and comments that have been brought by users to the thread, asking to Chariot to summarize his points, disrespecting the user's time and is not something the OP would detail, or at least an impartial moderator. At worst, this decision is only to prolong the discussion that, in my view, is already decided based on the staff responses, so I would ask that it be reopened and ended there.
