It is. The game is labelled under the Avatar Legends name, everything of which is regarded as canon unless explicitly stated.

Unfortunately, it's not nearly as math oriented or analytical as DnD combat is. It does still use dice, though. Here's an example.

Me and ProfessorKukui were discussing this scene where Jinora flashes some light at at Unavaatu in order to resuscitate Raava, and Vaatu raises his hands in an attempt to shield himself. Since Vaatu had already started holding up his hands before the camera cut to him, I didn't know how fast the scene was supposed to be.

However, Kukui raised a point that I never noticed before, in that Unavaatu's spiritbending hold doesn't break on Korra until after the flash of light has passed. In comparison, in every scene where someone spiritbends they have to maintain their arm movements to keep the water flowing. There's even a scene from a few episodes earlier where Unalaq stops his arm movements and the technique stops immediately, dropping Korra to the ground.


This means that he put his arms up right before the flash of light hit him, and the up close shot of Vaatu was slowed down, otherwise the spiritbending technique would have dissipated during the flash.

Along with the "moving the sun" statement from Reckoning of Roku (which was ambiguous at the time), this seems to confirm star-level avatar.
 
Quick question: Why are Avatar stats in terms of AP and dura separated for bending and their physical bodies?
 
Probably bcs they have different feats
although sometimes benders can tank bending attacks
 
Just a heads up, I have some regrets of labeling how Chakras in Avatar is. But Avatar alongside Naruto would be main examples of "Energy systems within energy systems." Some verses have a Universal energy system that consists of multiple energy systems (whether they be Limited, Non-Physical, or Universal individually) with the combined energy system being even more universal at fully trained unity. On the page, I originally labeled regular benders as being limited and the Avatar as being Non-Physical. But a fully mastered avatar state Avatar is definitely universal manly because of Thought Chakra. There are 7 sub energy systems in Avatar, with each of the 7 Chakras being them. And while most are in the limited to Non-Physical range, 2 or more are Non-Physical minimum working together, and Thought Chakra is probably Universal on its own rights. And when all 7 are fully mastered, then it most defiantly is universal energy system territory. I'm unsure what to label Sound Chakra and Light Chakra though, but those are over looked Chakras. And technically, Chakras exist in pretty much everyone, even in non-benders, it's just that most lack the ability to use them as an energy system. And sometimes, even though a Firebender can mainly only make use of the Fire Chakra fully, some non avatar benders have been able to make very limited use of what may be sound or light chakra.

And yeah, it is also common for characters to have superhuman durability and speed feats outside of bending; they usually try to form barriers or cancel someone else's bending out, but Kai surviving a point blank shot from P'Li is a note worthy pure durability feat.

So would you scale like a fire bender to another form of bending like earth bending?
 
Well, not via because "They share an energy system", but if a Firebender and Waterbender clashed bending and canceled each other out, that would be AP scaling right there. Or in the case of Aang, back when he was young and not a master, none of his elements where anywhere near as potent as his airbending. Save for moments such as merging with Ocean Spirit or during Sozen's Comet, his firebending got stronger than even his airbending. But adult Aang probably has all 4 of his elements pretty comparable to each other, and especially in a mastered Avatar State form. Mastered Avatar State is basically adds the potency of every past Avatar + small portion of Raava's to his own.

Gotcha. What about non avatar benders? I’ve seen people try to scale Azula to earth benders.

Again, if bending can cancel each other out, they should scale to each other.
 
Almost halfway through the main series so far and I'm loving it

But I gotta ask is there anyone working on a Bending ability page? Not that I plan one anytime soon
 
If avatar states were included, absolutely. But between the end of season 2 and before the season 4 restoration, Korra was nerfed. Not to mention, most like to compare and contrast base forms since Avatar States are obviously giving recent avatars unfair advantages.

According to the game's website, the story is going to be CANON. If the villain turns out to be able to affect multiple timelines like it says in the leaks, and avatar state Aang and Korra fight it at the end, than this will massively buff the verse.
