One Piece new chapter spoilers thread

Well, Garling Figarland just keeps being a complete monster in this chapter. He casually murders the mother of his children just because he wants a more physically beautiful ****-slave. 🙏

The Celestial Dragons are a bunch of monsters. I find it interesting that their sick behavior is self reinforcing. It’s ironic that for characters who claim to be gods, they seem all too human. When you think about it, the only consequences Celestial Dragons really face are from failing Imu or preventing other CD’s from being horrible.

Plus, as we’ve seen with Homing, if they leave the others, they are liable to become targets from people who were victim to their cruelty. From birth they’re raised in an environment where they can do no wrong except admitting the failings of others in their ranks. So it makes sense they’re so shitty.

Dragon looks cool af to me, don’t understand how people are calling him “ugly”

Like almost all soldiers or those that been on the battlefield will be serious/rough looking, that doesn’t mean they’re ugly (they not pretty but they also not ugly)

Actually Kyros is a perfect example

The anime tho actually made Dragon look soo bad early on, which it wasn't like that in the manga... Most people got their first impressions of Dragon from that which is kinda annoying

I actually agree. I think dragon looks super cool here. He looks like an average marine who was thrown into a smorgasbord of extremely powerful individuals from across the one piece world. It reminds me of the fan letter marineford scene.

😂😂😂 I was like wtf type of ww2 word is that... Then I saw you tried to type a Swedish word 😂😅 lol, the literal translation is just sandwich table in English (smörgås = sandwich (smör = butter and ås idk... Just random I think, maybe = butter us? 😅 and bord = table... Put together and it's SmörgåsBord)

they way you read/type it in English sounds kinda German lol (The ö is basically o but instead you make a puking sound 🤔 and å is kinda a sound a donkey makes... Like ooa kinda, English too confusing to translate, bye🙈) (like English uses a as A (tall) and then ayyy... So it's weird 🐵)

It's just an English word that means variety of something, but yeah it does have Swedish origin. English is obviously not your first language but you're pretty fluent. Do you mind me asking what your native language is? It's okay if you want to remain anonymous.

Wtf... English word...? 🤔

I personally would say I don't have a native language but I think it would still be Swedish perhaps, was born here after all 🙈 like my English is lowkey more advanced and developed than my Swedish but I'm more comfortable or calmer? Speaking Swedish... As in it's more natural for me than me speaking English, even tho I perhaps know more advanced English words than Swedish ones 🐵

Yeah it's an English word.
That's because Swedish is your native tongue but you actively use English more but in a writing context (here) rather than a speaking one.

Mmm kinda, my English pronunciation is good in my head and kinda ok while speaking but my Swedish is kinda bad also while speaking but still more natural and comfortable

Have a hard time trying to pronounce that word in English… smorgasbord

Would it be like s’more gas bored?

I asked ChatGPT-5 about it. 🙏

"Yes. Smorgasbord is an English borrowing of the Swedish smörgåsbord—literally “buttered-bread/sandwich table” (smörgås = ‘bread with butter’; bord = ‘table’). English dropped the Swedish diacritics and broadened the meaning to any large, varied buffet (and figuratively, any wide assortment)."

Wow I just read the Chapter and I found something about BB if its true then man Oda is psycho (in a good way :))
I wanna put the panel here but I cant. Its the panel where Lil bb is scared while he is close to his mom

Anyways I was wondering why is BB always scared/***** in his fights..etc

The answer is here Because he was traumatized unlike his dad you can see how scared he was it must be from this it hits deep.
Man Oda is crazy with the small details.

Yeah cause showings > propaganda
Smh that's just the nature of OP
JK but I'm talking about Rocks being depicted in information vs flashback, we thought he's going to be an super asshole but the man is actually pretty respectable despite being a jackass, and more shockingly he seems really love his family
And the "betraying each others" part, tho we need a full spoiler and raws for this

You fell for the World government propaganda

Wasn't Rocks said to have destroyed towns and what not?
He's definitely not as evil as we believed especially compared to his son but he's still not a great dude.

What has Blackbeard even done that is particularly evil in the context of the One Piece world?

Destroyed the entire town of Banana Rock just to show off his powers to Ace.
Killed his friend/crew mate Thatch for the Yami.
Tried to kidnap Bonney and make her his concubine (Akainu stopped him, but still, even thinking of kidnapping girls ain't cool)
And he has people on his crew who openly brag about collecting the heads of beautiful women and.. I can't even describe what Vasco wanted to do with Hancock here, but you should get what I mean. There's a reason I even bother to bring up Vasco's existence here. That man is just plain vile.

Contrast that with any single CD that the Marines protect and enable

Exactly. That is part of the point of the One Piece narrative. Don't automatically fall for the lies of ruthless authoritarian regimes and their propaganda-machineries. 🙏

Yes. He seems to be way more evil, underhanded, and cowardly (comparatively speaking, as he is not extreme enough in this area to qualify for the term) than his father Rocks D. Xebec/Davy D. Xebec, but we are currently shown the reasons for this. He was traumatised as a child by satanically evil slave-owners, saw his parents die, and was raised without their presence. 🙏

Comparing moldy bread to literal poop doesn't mean the moldy bread is good
Yes. Blackbeard and his crew are still evil, even if Imu and the Celestial Dragons seem even worse. 🙏

I disagree
I disagree with your disagree

Literally committed a serious crime within pirates (even himself saying he knows how bad it is to do), killing his "friend" just for power (A power he uses to control and obtain the world, making people suffer by putting them into darkness when using it), that automatically and easily puts him at the top of evil in the op world
