My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

We are still 1 and a half month away and yet they have already animated major parts of Deku vs Shiggy. A MHA season with good schedule. My god.

I was thinking. Hawks vs Jetstream Sam. Sure Hawks has the Raw AP and Dura advantage but HF blades ignore durability. Also the Robots in MHA remind me of Metal gear

Also AFO's durability rating is a little to high isn't it. AFO after getting rewind was not using many quirks. We see he can completely block Hawks and damage him at the same time with one shield quirk.

so deku gets the street tiers and shigaraki gets the multiversal tiers lmao
Makes sense. Despite how cracked Deku is, he's still ultimately a beat 'em up merchant (outside of launching Vestiges at the enemies soul), so if he faces against someone that's WAY stronger than him or has really high levels of regen, he's shit out of luck. So for the most part he has to stick with fighting people on his level or below in order to win.

Shiggy meanwhile got some pretty good hax, so as long as the enemy can't regen beyond what he can decay or has a resistance to his kit, he can technically take on far higher tier peeps.

high levels of regen
I mean shigaraki has pretty high regen as long as his brain is intact, unless they can come back from like being just like drops of blood or worse then he can solidly just obliterate someone with High--Mid regen the same way he did with shigaraki and was stated numerous times to be able to do

Well, yeah that's what I meant by high levels of regen.
Well yeah just moreso clarifying like it'd need to be really high regen levels, I'm not meaning to like address you specifcally just making an additional level of context to it since there are those who think goons like denji or muzan have too high of regen for deku to destroy them when thats not the case

Oh then my bad lol.

We love battle spirit. My Rengoku Vs Lemillion matchup got called a stomp by Rusty due to battle spirit 😀
All this time I thought yall were doing that as a bit...that's like sad yall have invented yall own power system never brought up implied or addressed in the series to be a sort of mechanic or power system in the verse...

if that's something on profiles that is genuinely wild that got through but regardless deku resist anyways

It’s on the profiles. Battle spirit goes accepted twice in 2021 and 2025 in a CRT

Battle spirit is so bs. High Willpower gives immediate resistance to it in the story so it's basically useless.
(Even though the wiki doesnt accept it like this or else you get a crying terrified Zenitsu having more willpower than a Hashira and an Upper Moon 3 to resist a stronger battle spirit)

a lot of time characters resist it by calming down. Like Muichiro being frozen from Kokushibo's presence and not being able to move, only to immediately fight Kokushibo in the very next panel. Or Nezuko and Genya being frozen in place by Zohakuten, only to fight him the next scene like nothing even happened. Battle Spirit does seem to get countered by strong enough willpower, as with most overwhelming auras in anime. Either that or it's just incredibly inconsistent with how it's portrayed.
