All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

Funny because the most straightforward statement of multipliers applying to LS (Goku struggling to lift weight, using SSJ to then lift said weight effortlessly) contradicts the actually accepted LS (Goku struggling to lift 40 tons iirc)
Apparently the SEG states that the 40 tons was a trouble because he had to maintain control of his ki while in the air flying. I summon you @CryoTheMayo

Yeah, it does. You can find the raws here. And for the lazy the specific raw page is here. It is apparently stated that the training strains your Ki to support the weight while flying. But I would suggest getting a human translator (as in one who actually has a reputation) checking it over.

I have a feeling that even ******* in the toilet translates into crazy skill levels in the DB world compared to the real world. At the end of the KI control encompass everything in Dragon Ball and its a fighting skill.

Getting stronger, maintaining the same strenght while not destroying anything and all the other stuff is just straight up skills which is pretty nuts.

Dragonball doesnt rely/use any skill goes ... brrrrrrrrrrrr.

Thats why im such a huge fan of Roshis special technique - it took 50 years to create, you need skills to maintain your base powerlevel and to not make the universe go poof. While every single verse is like that when it comes to the latter part since it would end the story, in DB we do its a part of your fighting skill.

One of the many reasons why I love dragonball is how they treat martial arts from a conventional and non-conventional standpoint. Power and actual skills go hand in hand in DB ... how the hell can you not love such a thing?

btw ...

Have you noticed that bleach fans always talk about super shenron? Yeah, they use different names like "mustache", "yuuwachhh",' or "soul king" but the description always points to super shenron.

didnt know bleach haf so many dragonball fans

this seems to be a routine
Welp since the downgrade didn't go through now it's time for an upgrade. 🤨

It hurts to see that Z manga isn't even a galaxy

Moro arch made it clear where Kid Buu stands. The only thing that matters is if you think Buu could use that power or not ... there are some small galaxy calcs but im more a fan of clear cut things when it comes to dragonball. If you have ever defended Z Broly you should know what i mean ... 😭

Someone as talented and old as Buu (well just one aspect of fighting like 99% of villians in fiction) couldnt use it but somehow that fake Uub guy who doesnt know crap about fight could thanks to the power of friendship? Im too lazy to re-read it but im not buying it, lol.

The issue is Bio-Broly, at the end of the film, starts saying Kakarot (as in, he has Broly’s memories), making him more in line with a reincarnation of Broly.

This fits with the Toei Anime Fair informational booklet, which describes Broly as “reborn” and “revived.” This is reiterated in the Toei Film Animation Comic, and both even call the process “regeneration.”

In fact, a priest from Natade Village extracted Broly's blood from inside Broly's space pod and sold it to Jaguar, who then had a scientist regenerate Broly from the genes in the blood.”

Dr. Cory (right), who regenerated Broly at Baron Jaguar bag's request, and his assistant Nine (left). Both are excellent genetic engineering researchers.”

Regenerated Broli. What do you think is in the culture fluid?"

Buu couldn't use GSK's power because it was being used up sealing Moro. That's why Moro's power is unsealed when Buu is killed. It is stated Moro was spending years recovering his magic after Buu's defeat.

Weirdly, thinking on it, the Toei Films have it so that the hatred of a being outlasts their physical form and can transfer into makeshift resurrections twice. With the OVA, three times.

First is Super Android 13. Gero's hatred somehow transferred from himself to his computer upon dying.

"Dr. Gero, also known as No. 20, was brutally defeated by No. 17. However, Gero's hatred towards Goku was transferred to the computer, and he continued to create Androids 13, 14, and 15... A mysterious duo attacks Goku's family, Krillin, and the others while they are enjoying shopping at a department store in the western capital! Androids 14 and 15!!"

"Android 17 killing Gero image: No. 20 was killed by No. 17, whom he created. However, that desire for revenge has taken over Dr. Gero's computer!!"

Then you have the Bio-Broly thing, where Broly's hatred of Goku appeared even in his clone/allowed it to retain his memory to torment others some more.

Then you have Hatchiyack, which in the film was literally based on the idea of Doctor Lychee harnessing his hatred of Saiyans to live on after death as some mutant man in his ship to plague the cosmos by harnessing OTHER PEOPLE'S hatred of Saiyans (granting temporary resurrections to them) to help his plan of slaughtering what little remained of them in the Universe.

For some reason, in Toei's Dragon Ball, hating someone REALLY ******* HARD makes you SOMEWHAT IMMORTAL.

I like the idea of meeting Cell stunting his growth by giving Frieza an outlet to express his negative emotion, whereas in canon he was alone being tortured by sunshine and rainbows for over a decade to build up his hate and rage.
