You can now use Tier Templates in Sandboxes and Blogs!

Greetings, ladies and gents.

Butler's here with an announcement that should make life a bit easier for both staff members and users.

The days of staff members having to issue reminders about tier template misuse, and users getting those reminders on their message walls, are mostly behind us.

Tier templates (such as {{1-B}} or {{High 6-A}}) can now be used in user sandboxes and blog pages without adding tier-related categories. Here's an example from my sandbox:

With this change, staff won't need to remove tier templates from user pages or blog pages meant for drafting. Users are now free to use these templates without affecting the wiki's categorization and organization.

Just a reminder: you still cannot manually add categories (as stated here) like [[Category:Characters]] or [[Category:Tier 0]] to sandboxes and blogs as doing so still disrupts the site's organization. This is just about tier templates.

Feel free to use them in your drafts! If anything's unclear, feel free to ask!

This is so cool! Now I don't have to always remove the tier template each time that I copy-paste a profile's code or while I'm creating a profile in a sandbox or blog. It goes to the opposite, as sometimes people forget to complete the tier code template once they publish their profiles. This definitely improves things when creating profile drafts or copying the code of multiple profiles into blogs or sandboxes. Thank you so much, bro. We as content creators appreciate a lot your time and effort to improve things in the wiki!

Just a reminder that you should still not directly add inappropriate categories to sandboxes and blog posts in our wiki. This is just about the tier templates such as {{High 8-C}}. Nothing else.

Yes. There are some exceptions for calculation blogs, but categories are mostly for profiles, yeah. The specifics are mentioned here.

Btw, what if I add the complete Tier template to one of my blogs or sandboxes and the category still appears? Would I be punished for that? Or is that not going to happen anymore? I'm just making sure of what I can or can't do....

No, you won't be punished. But if that does happen, I'll need to fix it.

That said, it really shouldn't occur, I ran a lot of tests and applied all the tier templates on both my sandbox and blog, and no categories showed up:
