Someone talk about Drakengard pages?

Looks good to me. I've also taken the liberty of uploading a nowe image with a transparent background for you to use.

Hello. Mostly speaking to Random but if anyone else feels like chiming in. Was preparing a round of "revisions" for nier. I put revisions in quotes as the stats won't change. Just a lot of explanations and maybe a few ability additions.

But I figured I might as well include drakengard into the mix since they are often seen as together.

Anyways, for this though I am going to call into attention the intelligence ratings. Something I've been seeing profiles do is like "Average but Genius combatant".

I avoided such descriptions because I thought being more general was better. But I thought I'd try my hand at it since it seems everyone else is doing it.

The only one I'd be able to comment on is Zero and frankly I think she could qualify as Genius combatant given her description. Been killing experienced and grown adults even when she was a child and as an adult she's cutting down armies.

Thoughts? Not just on Zero but the inclusion of such descriptions but also what the other characters could register as.

Zero wasn't born an Intoner. She was just a normal girl who died and got possessed.

For actual skill, Caim is stated to have practiced with his sword for 30,000 hours.

Precisely. So as a girl she was killing trained adults like bandits and slavers and has been doing it for so many years that by the time she became an intoner, killing people was just natural to her.

Getting a precise rating is where I'm needing consulting.
Above average seems too low. And extraordinary genius requires they do something or scale to someone that surpasses what is humanly possible and I don't think we see that either.

That leaves gifted and genius for both of them.

Also while I haven't played any drakengard games, given they're all fast pace hack'n slash Caim can also say he's killed a couple hundred trained soldiers in simultaneous battle.

Killing adults as a child implies existing enhanced strength, I don't know. Still, simply Gifted in combat might cover it unless we know more about those adults.

Caim frequently fights hundreds of enemies at once. Nowe and Manah do it in Drakengard 2 as well. It's a very common occurrence in Drakengard games.

Gonna leave this here.

In this case since I know Zero, I'd be looking for help with Caim in regards to any feats or descriptions.

Are we sure those are black holes?
I posted some scans but going off the novel and the guidebooks, they are directly called Black Holes and are described in great detail as acting as ones. Even the literal word for Space “Black Holes” is used in the game’s guidebook.
Which feats are those, if I may ask?
The Cyclops laser bullet from DoD1 is described as a laser, a beam of light, and a light beam multiple times in novels and guidebooks.

In the DoD3 Route E novel, which is the canon timeline that leads into DoD1, NieR, and Automata, Mikhail and Zero dodge and react to beams from both Phanuel and Golems that are described as beams and light.

I think I have more too but I’m kinda going slow since it’s taking awhile to actually get some of the translations and calcs even looked at.

Hey, something regarding the calc blogs. First, how is this one coming along, and second, when the blogs are accepted, it's best to add the Drakengard category at the base of the page.

I can reach out to calc group people to get them to look at these.

Yeah I’m having a slight issue already cause I heard the new rule is fan translations have to get accepted by the translation members, which is what seems like it’s going to take the longest.

None of my calcs I’ve done yet for Drakengard have gotten looked at. Can’t speak for others.

Get the original Japanese raws and ask a translation member to look at them, like Apotheosis or Red.

That meteor calculation likely needs images or a video to actually show it happening. Then we can reach out to some calc group members.

Yeah I actually have them both posted and put into the translation help, along with the light speed stuff. I’m just waiting for a response before pushing too hard for my calcs to get checked.

I’m not familiar with either of them, but if they can help give a confirmation on stuff like this that’d be great!

I could def grab a video of it. Although I will say I’m not sure to what degree Caim scales. From what I remember he was only hit by the shockwave, rather than the entire explosion. However, even the shockwave was shown (and stated) vaporizing people instantly so it’s still very strong.

We'll polish it first, and see if we can get the translations done. The calc evaluation thread is generally not a very good way to get things done, so we'll start chasing up evaluations when the blogs are ready.

We also need TheAngryOrange to include that video or images into the blog itself.

The raws and the website translations I gathered for the black hole stuff is here.

I can also send the light speed stuff here if you want in a bit. There’s a lot of other stuff I planned to bring to the table too but trying to work at a reasonable pace.

I can message him on discord with the video.

Red is in the Discord, but I'll take that blog to some translators.

@Random-Helper323 also here's a few of the light speed things I'll send them here.

In the next moment, the eye swelled—then unleashed a searing beam of light. The dragon barely managed to evade it.

It was the largest and strongest weapon of the Empire — A weapon of unfathomable scientific power. The blueish-grey torso boasted well above 200 metres towered up to the heavens. With no arms, it carried instead a flat, square-shaped board that swayed at its sides, and walked autonomously on shortened legs. Near the top of its head was something like a hole filled with pink light - The very reason that so many soldiers past had called it "The One-Eyed Giant". From time to time, such cyclops had occasionally been spotted across Midgard, demonstrating its power in such a way that it had destroyed even entire nations. Just then, the pink light flicked and emitted a bundle of light near ten metres wide. The ray cut through the Earth, slicing clean through the fleeing soldiers. "Damn! It's starting to emit those rays, hurry to the trenches!"

“Yeah, I kno—” A streak of white light shot towards them as if to drown out Mikhail’s response.

“Watch out!”

Mikhail dodged to the side. The light grazed his wing. It smelled of burning mochi.

“That beam thingie hurts! It really, really hurts!” Mikhail’s voice sounded like he was about to cry. It was a good thing they had escaped a direct hit.

“It’s an attack, dummy. It’s supposed to hurt.”

The moment she jumped on Mikhail’s back, a crimson light fired by the golems cut through the air nearby. Mikhail countered it with flames.

This one might say light beam but I don't know I've never gotten it properly translated.

Most of what I've sent are translations from a huge website in the fandom that got taken down, but I have every translator and proofreader named for these. But I'm still pretty sure they have to get accepted by a translator mod since they are technically fan translations.

Went on ahead and grabbed this too for Angry Orange's calc. It will obviously need approved too.

The soldiers looked up, unease spreading across their faces. Without warning, the sky had darkened. What had been a hazy overcast was now completely smothered in thick, black clouds. The wind roared past them.

The retreating Imperial soldiers began to cheer. Even the ones who had collapsed to the ground now stood up, thrusting their fists skyward. Voices carried on the wind—Judgment has come!

The black clouds split open.

From the rift, a mass of light came plummeting toward the ground. A flash. A deafening boom. Even though the impact site was far off, the shockwave lifted Caim’s body into the air. The earth beneath him trembled violently.

He leapt onto the back of the dragon as she dove. After confirming Verdelet and the others were safe, she began to rise—straight toward the top of the clouds.

——“What in the world is happening...?”

Even as they climbed, the masses of light kept falling, one after another. Each crash into the earth incinerated the land in an instant. Caim could see great cracks tearing through the ground.

——“Still can’t see it...?”

They had entered the cloud cover. Visibility was completely gone. But up above—something was there.

Something enormous. The source of the dragon’s oppressive sense.

——“A shell...?”

Through a gap in the clouds, he glimpsed something floating high above—round in shape.

——“Is that the fortress...? But something like that... there's no way humans could have built it.”

And he couldn’t believe for a moment that that devastating light—light capable of reducing humans to ash and tearing the earth apart—had been made by human hands. It dwarfed any airship or cyclops weapon by far.

——“It’s gone...?”

The massive floating object, shaped like a shell, vanished as if it had never existed. And with it, the oppressive pressure vanished too. The light. The thunder. Everything ceased. Only the sound of the wind remained.

“Th-this is a nightmare… Am I dreaming?"

The earth below was a scene of utter ruin—as if Death itself had descended. here the light had struck directly, the land had collapsed into a crater. Not a single corpse remained. All of it—melted and vaporized in an instant.

If we focus on how it's connected to Nier, we might be able to get staff who are Nier supporters to help us get things done.

Emirp Sumitpo and Mr Bambu might take interest.
If that’s the case I might be able to start working on gathering things to connect them more. Especially since Kingdom of Night and Drakengard 3 lore kind of puts these games on roughly similar tiers.

@Random-Helper323 Actually since you have more direct contact with people like Red than me, could you get these few looked at to what they actually say? My normal translator has been inactive for weeks now but these seem like they will be extremely important later.

Seere resolves to confront the enormous ‘enemy’ that seeks to destroy ‘time’.

Aerial Battle
Battle with the “Song”

The “enemy (giant)” suddenly began to sing a “song.” What exactly is the nature of this “song”? It is a song sung by the enemy with the intent to destroy the “great time.” Perhaps it is a “lullaby” meant to put the world into eternal slumber.

Black and white, light and darkness, yin and yang, sacred and evil, justice and sin… The finale of the tune, woven by the intertwining of these two patterns, awaits only “nothingness.”

Also I want to say too, when talking about the connection between Drakengard and NieR, everything with the old world lore is truly the glue that intertwines them, but Bartas I feel is a huge factor in scaling them, as like Michael and the dragons and all the other things brought to the Draken world during the Great Cataclysm, Bartas is from the Android/Alien war and is a product of that time frame, which everything has grown much stronger in the NieR world since then. But this guy and Accord are two Androids from the NieR world from a considerably weaker period that very very much scale to the Draken world.

After months of trying, I finally got translations for light speed Drakengard and black hole seemingly approved by someone.

Post in thread 'Official Translation Requests Thread (New forum)'

Perhaps I should also get the other black hole scans I have but I think this is fine for now. I just need to get the calculations approved.

As for the translator mentioning the black hole usage is for a literal hole that’s black, it should be noted it’s still very much described as acting as a black hole and guides for the game itself call it a straight up cosmic black hole.

I’ll push for the calcs to get approved, and go from there. For translations, I’ll need to get the Queen Beast stuff posted and approved of, and it should be just discussion and crt from there.

Current update: a calc mod finally responded to my black hole calcs but said they won’t evaluate unless I show more proof of it being a black hole. I’ll likely have to get scans from the script which talks about the Queen Beast turning her stomach into a black hole.
