神速 (shinsoku) literally just means extremely fast
一閃 (issen) is flash or glint
it's not a literal speed it's basically just saying "the instant a godspeed flash streaked past, Ciel's arms swung at nothing"

It's completely solidified when it has "達.たち tachi" as a suffix. But even without it, its a possibility that it can be a plurality. Just of course, depends on context

Well, the "Otherworld" kanji is referenced with many different meanings throughout the verse, but in this context, it should refer to this singular world, since it was technically talking about Cornu (an individual from this world) trying to conquer that universe (spacetime). It's saying that the universe was large, but not as large as the Otherworld. Since the Otherworld consists of three different worlds merged or coexisting within it, I guess it makes sense for this world to be bigger than a standard universe. Not to mention the fact it's something specially created to seal away a creature by the Strongest being in the verse.

I don't want to make this a discussion thread, but didn't we not come to a certain conclusion? If I'm not mistaken, only you and 1-2 people say this is Underworld in context. Literally the previous sentence, and a whole paragraph after that (which this sentence is the beginning of) talk about conquest of other worlds. They left the Cornu topic. Literally the previous sentence says that they will use this world/universe as a stepping stone for further invasions

Here is the complete raw for that statement. It was referring to the world (the universe they are trying to conquer) versus the Otherworld, which they are from. So personally I don't see it's being plural in context.

The Otherworld is composed of three worlds, so it’s logical for it to be bigger than a normal universe. Raws for that gere

Nvm, not needed, checked and now i'm more than sure it talks about the underworld. The chapter is full of underworld and underworld gates, demons, phantoms etc etc. Also the lines after that which talks about reincarnation etc. It refers to underworld.
Just to clarify, do phantoms live in the underworld? exist there etc

I call it "underworld" as "異界". Referring to the word they use, dunno what they call it in translations you guys read (or where you guys read etc). Though sorry, as i could explain it better :d
What i'm talking about is 異界 which it's stated to be bigger than the universe. Which is the same as "異い界かい".
It's not that the universe isn't vast as much as other worlds but "The universe is incredibly vast, but not as much as the otherworld." which the otherworld is referring to that place.
