Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

Where did I get it from? I have no idea.
It's just something I heard in the past
And that's totally fine btw, this sort of notion I understand. Hell, the movies probably even vindicated you to an extent

My frustration is moreso towards those who take that stance and run with it as some sort of authoritative measure in a debate. (I know your post wasn't directed at mine but I figured I'd put in my 2 cents)

I have a couple of theories/headcanons about the 3&K opening...

1. It actually never happened. Why would Super Sonic skim the ground when he can fly over all of Angel Island? How would Knuckles tag someone immeasurably faster than him, hax or not?

2. The Super State was new to Sonic, similar to Shadow's first time, it was somewhat unstable.

3. If Hax WAS involved, it could've been the Phantom Ruby's power null unbeknownst to everyone, as it was excavated from the exact spot Knuckles pops up from.

4. Master Emerald shenanigans

5. All of the above. Form inexperience+Master Emerald+Phantom Ruby (I like this one, because this shit is never happening again)

That reminds me of something, since Special Stages are located in an alternate universe/another dimension, in Sonic 3D Blast, Tails and Knuckles physically travel to carry Sonic into these places, wouldn't that give Immeasurable?

Could solve the Super Sonic stuff, since he wouldn't be infinitely faster than him.

The Advance 2 example is a joke, it's PIS 101, if you ask me. At least every other example of Super Sonic being depowered has something else to it that can be argued.

What? I didn't say anything about Advance 2, but you reminded me that Sonic going to Special Stages through physical travel was a thing i guess.

Edit: Nevermind, just noticed you were talking to the comments on the other page mb

That’s prolly just dimensional travel hax, or more likely these special stages aren’t in another dimension considering they take place in similar looking locations.

Maybe the Knuckles instance is just an outlier TBH (possibly).

That’s already acknowledged as dimensional travel on the profile
Only on Adventure Sonic's profile. Classic doesn't have that, also Aqua Planet Zone isn't a special stage.

Can't these kind of feats land Immeasurable anyway if it doesn't have any further context attached to it? Because Advance 2 sure doesn't seem to provide context for that.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the standards.

Speed-based dimensional travel is not immeasurable without further context (see SDBH immeasurable speed)

That's just dimensional travel.

From a Sonic Team Fan Meeting, a Q&A with all types of question. The top text is "Next Year is the Year of Silver". Unsure if it's just expectations from the fan that gathered the questions, or something they actually commented during the Q&A lol

GREAT, his 20 year anniversary will be his year...after almost 20 years of being a complete useless guy

Toyoda also confirmed he is working on translations for his Sonic novels, but they take a lot of time because of nuances and he wants everything to be just right, so they'll take time to be released.
Absolute W.

The necessity of reading between the lines is something I highly appreciate in JP Sonic content, they reek of soul and don't need to overtly state that something is being referenced or nodded to. The fact Toyoda is doing this himself (or at least leading a group to do so) makes me eager to see how the translations will come out.

Because Windii moved out of Twitter/X after all the stuff Elon did, so any updates from translations from her are only either by her blog or Bluesky
i am going to make a prediction, but maybe, just maybe, Bluesky will probably not last that much.

I tried to translate it, but translation is actually limited in terms of conveying the nuance, so I'm preparing it right now, but I can't tell you when. For now, I'd appreciate it if you could enjoy it in a way that you can see, even in Japanese
This is about the Sonic Channel stories. We are so freaking back.

I really hope they keep up the Sonic Channel stories. Evolving from Art + Cover Stories to full-on multi-chapter stories such as Otherworld Comedy is awesome. Especially when they keep some of the most pure representations of the cast to date.

I honestly wouldn't mind an entire subdivision within Sonic Team focused solely on Sonic Channel stories. Having something like a "Yearly Novel" in a once-per-month format across 12 chapters like Otherworld would be PEAK.

Promise we'll get spotlights on minor characters like they did with Elise, Merlina, and Sonic Man, and I'll be sold.

If we get a year of Silver, I wonder if it'll tie into movie 4 at all. Perhaps Silver will show up, but his role will be a surprise.

I don't really know where to place this, but here's support for the Death Egg being able to destroy Sonic's planet without the Battle statement (though it has early development stuff in it)

Ngl should characters being able to withstand the blue wisp’s power being transmutation resistance be removed? At least for those in team sonic racing, all that happens there is characters running into a block created by the blue wisp and taking damage, don’t think that block fills the target with blue wisp energy or anything. The Forces bosses who fight the Avatar can keep it.
