What?? Literally in the same game they were established to be friends. That isn't headcanon, that's just simple fact. Ignore the fact that I didn't even say that, I only said that he prolly thought he was the only person that could defeat Mephiles and that's completely in character. He's literally the guy of their team.
Also, that's not exactly the same kind of dismissive I was talking about. Of course Shadow wouldn't just leave Rouge to hang out there. Feels like he's just being standoffish. He was already there and saved her so he isn't being dismissive in the sense that he's going to not listen to a plan and do things foolishly on his own to a new threat. He obviously cares/is worried for his team. He literally saves Rouge from a fall and they were established to be rather close in the same game. He's even visibly saddened to hear that, in the future, Omega is the one that locks him up.

Shadow and Rouge aren't friends and 06 does not establish that. They're allies that trust each other and sometimes have common goals, but that's all. Shadow's only friend was Maria, and that's stated several times by Sega. This is something every Shadow fall must learn to accept as a core part of his character.
Shadow is standoffish and dismissive. He dismissed when he rescued her, and he went to fight Mephiles alone. You seem to create narratives to justify things that happen in the game rather than actually looking at what happened.

Excuse me that I respect and consider what the actual owners and creators of the character say constantly about the character, but the truth is, Shadow and Rouge are not friends. They're allies. Shadow straight up says so in Battle. In every single character profile Shadow is stated to not have friends, across literal years. Shadow does not "hang out" with Rouge as friends do. He doesn't actively seek her aid. He will fight her if his interests don't align (Rivals 2). This refusal to accept the character's canon characterization is why Silver was so OOC until the writers realize their mistake. Honestly it's a good thing Sega is so overprotective of Shadow based on how many of his "fans" still don't understand him.
Yes, I have played 06. Several times. Nothing in that game goes against the fact Shadow and Rouge are trusted allies, not friends. Maybe you need to reply the game without any bias, and without dismissing Sega's intention for the character.
What I do find ironic is how you preach against any sorta of aggressive arguments in general, yet here you are being passive aggressive for no reason. I didn't invent a single narrative.

You act like people can't change their opinion between games. Battle was before Sonic 06. Hell, Rivals has dubious canonicity and it's never truly referenced to again. Also, you literally say that the writers made mistakes for Silver, yet all of the sudden Shadow is the exception to this rule? You may have played the game, but you have no clue of any nuance in character writing whatsoever. You say nothing goes against the fact that they're trusted allies, not friends. But also nothing goes against the contrary, either. You play with extremes far too often and fail to see the grey.
Don't act like your view on the matter is somehow more valid just because you see things differently. You sound like an egoist asshat despite doing the bare minimum of character analysis and making these claims yet ignoring context not only in character, but from a meta-perspective as well given Sonic Teams' track history with handling characters. It seems to me that you don't even understand the character aside from the surface level slop that you are graciously eating from a team of people who constantly missed the mark in terms of their characters.

Western writers made mistakes, because they rejected Silver's characterization in Japanese games like 06 and Rivals because they thought their version was better than Sega. Something you're doing right now. I am not "playing with extreme" I am telling you what Sega says in every profile. Here:

No, what I want is for you to stop replying to me with endless variations of "I am going to ignore you" "not replying to a wall" "ignoring you" but never doing so. If you don't want to argue you can just stop replying to me, rather than make these indirect and honesty childish posts.
You are the only one who called me names. All I did was say you had a narrative of Shadow different from what Sega and the game actually shows, and that got you mad and you started to insult me by calling me a selfish egoist and talking about how much you hate debating me while still doing so.
So stop being a thread monitor and actually do what you say rather than talking about how you're going to ignore me for the thousandth time while going back to call me insults once more.

Here's my admittedly cringe wish list for this crossover.
1. I want Eggman to be a problem for literally everyone throughout a good portion of this comic run. I would love to see Eggman pull a "Earth isn't yours to conquer" against Darkseid while also trying to gather the chaos emeralds himself which gets him into conflict with the heroes. I also would like to see Eggman pull off one insane thing before he takes the L and inevitably gets sidelined like for example getting a bio data scan of Superman or something before using said data to create his own kryptonite from scratch or finding a way to to sap portions of Flashes speed force energy like gorilla Grodd before using said energy to buff Metal Sonic.
2. That said I still want Darkseid to be the main focus as far as antagonists go so I only want Eggman to completely steal the show once before he gets put in a more minor role for the rest of the story.
3. I want to see a chaos emerald transformation for this Darkseid avatar since I'm curious about what ungodly abomination would be created by mixing the negative power of the chaos emeralds with literally evil incarnate. Although this transformation would have to be Darkseid with six emeralds since I don't think any amount of plot armour is saving the cast if Darkseid gets the anti life equation.
Aside from this I don't want much else as I'm looking forward to the charecter interactions more than the plot.
