I really doubt that would happen before Regulus kills her.

Like, he have atleast 52 wives, that atleast some level of self preservation.

She needs to kill them all before he breaths, and sends a FTL attack at her, only by colateral demage.
He doesn't have an FTL reactions. His FTL is only by traveling via straightline. Stated on his profile. Plus this battle is Equalized speed right? So there's no way he could protect all his wives by huge range of Tatsumaki's AoE. Her collateral damage ranges at most High 6A. Instant death if I were you.

He doesn't have an FTL reactions. His FTL is only by traveling via straightline.
Anything he stops with Lion's Heart can be FTL. So if he flicked his wrist at Tatsumaki, an invisible FTL blade is launched at her.

“…Attacking someone while they’re talking, just where are your manners? You know… I was talking. Wasn’t I talking just now? And then you interrupted me. Isn’t that a bit impolite? Don’t you think that was wrong? I have the right to speak… even though I don’t really want to have to point this out, but to not interrupt people when they’re speaking… isn’t that just common social decency? You’re free to listen or not listen I won’t bother you about that, but just what are you trying to do by not letting me talk? And now you’re quiet, what is this? You’re listening. You were listening, right? Wasn’t I asking you something? Then give me some kind of reply, it should be like that, right? You won’t even do that, don’t even want to do that. Ah, ah, freedom. That’s your freedom. You see me ranting and you want to kill me, then when I ask you a question, you ignore me like I’m the wind. So, it’s like that, is it? Well you’re free to do that. Alright, let’s just say it’s like that. But then, what is that supposed to mean? You’re disregarding my rights― One of my only few possessions, right?”

Just as a chill ran up Rem’s back, the man took a step forward. His drooping arm lifted, sweeping up a small gust of wind. Then, on the same line as the motion of his arm― The earth, the air, and the world parted in two.

Round and round and round, Crusch’s severed left shoulder flew into the air. Still grasping onto the sheath of a Knight’s sword, the arm dropped down in a spray of blood. Crusch, blown off her feet by the impact, fell to the ground, convulsing in pain and mass loss of blood.

We don't really need to argue if she'll kill his wives. They're his equipment so everything at stake of being killed.

"His Authority does not increase his reaction speed, meaning he can only travel in a straight lines if moving at superhuman speeds."
You: I don't read weaknesses

Tatsumaki deceive him using puppet
because he doesn't have extrasensory perception. Oops even her enemy have those doesn't even matter.

None of his ability is invisible for Tatsumaki as she can sense spatial distortions. Nor anything at the start would really be deadly.

My vote is for Tatsumaki.

Her arsenal and advantages should be more than enough to win here.

It would do a lot. It creates her way of fighting against him.
Which is complete inefective, since he is invicible.
Like, why would she think trowing him around, when she know he is invicible gonna do anything?
Regulus's authority distance limit is "at least 100km".
She have no knowlegement of that.
Tatsumaki sent Saitama between cities of OPM which the distance is higher than hundreds of kilometers + her range is thousands of kilometer. She was going to send him to space as well(he was resistant)
Page.
She has decoys that can easily fool and keep busy Regulus.
That just gonna delay the inevitable. Again, his attacks are way faster than her, and are invicible.
I don't have doubts on her ability to keep alive by keep her distance, but that not gonna work for long.

And again, he can still comeback even if he is trown around.

Which is complete inefective, since he is invicible.
Like, why would she think trowing him around, when she know he is invicible gonna do anything?
Yes. She did it to seemingly invincible(literally what she felt while fighting against him) Saitama.
...And? That's the reason why it's "at least 100km" for Regulus. Tatsumaki's case is higher than hundreds of kilometers + her range itself is thousands of kilometers.
That just gonna delay the inevitable. Again, his attacks are way faster than her, and are invicible.

Her attacks are faster but he lacks the reaction speed aim perfectly. Invisibility doesn't matter to Tatsumaki as she clearly senses them. Anything his authority touches, she'd be aware.

He doesn't have an FTL reactions.
He really don't need it for this battle
He is invicible, and his attacks are FTL.
His FTL is only by traveling via straightline. Stated on his profile.
"His Authority does not increase his reaction speed, meaning he can only travel in a straight lines if moving at superhuman speeds."
You: I don't read weaknesses

He uses his authority to reach that level of speed. So any attack that make use of his authority, would be FTL also.
That don't contradict anything.
Plus this battle is Equalized speed right?
No.
None of his ability is invisible for Tatsumaki as she can sense spatial distortions.
Her sensing not gonna be effective, because the attack gonna blitz her.

Her sensing not gonna be effective, because the attack gonna blitz her.
She knows what he'll do before he attacks, she's completely aware of what he touches and what his authority affects. The attack is faster than her but he won't be able to aim her accurately + she just puts decoys to decieve her and done.

Yes. She did it to seemingly invincible(literally what she felt while fighting against him) Saitama.
The difference here is, if you are correct, she would more or less know that Regulus time stop on his body is making him invicible.
So she would know that anything she does is gonna be inefective, even trowing him around. Unlike Saitama.
...And? That's the reason why it's "at least 100km" for Regulus. Tatsumaki's case is higher than hundreds of kilometers + her range itself is thousands of kilometers.
Really? How the frick you missed my point so bad.
https://gyazo.com/f3e5c97355b6e0a96dc79646aceebc89

Even if Tatsumaki trow him around, he just gonna comeback. So that's not a effective wincon.

If people much slower than Tatsumaki and that cannot fly or perceive Regulus's attacks can dodge them I don't see how they will be a problem for her even if they are FTL

She knows what he'll do before he attacks,
She does't.
The attack is faster than her but he won't be able to aim her accurately + she just puts decoys to decieve her and done.
Not before the attack reaches her, she won't. She gonna get blitz.

The scenario you describe don't make sense.

Regulus waves his hand to send a gust of wind that durability negates
Tatsumaki: I detect that his attacks are distorting space, I need to dodge it. I gonna put some decoys to avoid it.

All that before the FTL, a attack that complete blitz her, reaches her.
Yeah no.

The difference here is, if you are correct, she would more or less know that Regulus time stop on his body is making him invicible.
So she would know that anything she does is gonna be inefective, even trowing him around.
Rather than trying obvious possible choices, she would think "no being stands a chance against this great person, i should just do nothing and die"?

Really? How the frick you missed my point so bad.

Even if Tatsumaki trow him around, he just gonna comeback. So that's not a effective wincon.
It's you who missed it. This scan is what gives him "at least 100km". which isn't comparable to Tatsumaki's range here.

Rather than trying obvious possible choices, she would think "no being stands a chance against this great person, i should just do nothing and die"?
I din't say that, she could also just retreat. Which is OOC, so...
Is just, her wincon is a thing that not gonna be effective, since Regulus can just comeback for whenever he got trown.
It's you who misses it. This scan is what gives him "at least 100km". which isn't comparable to Tatsumaki's range here.
Ok, so you need to be way more clear.
So what you trying to say here, is that Tatsumaki gonna trow Regulus way further than he can comeback?
...Admitelly, that's not impossible, but is also not that likely when:

  • She doesn't know about his weakness, so trowing him so far pf the range of his wifes is iffy at best
  • That really don't stop from him of coming back. He don't lose all of his powers when he not near his wives, he can still use for atleast 5 seconds. So chances are, even if she trow him so far, he still can likely comeback
  • He also can also just stop midway if he wants, and become a immovable object. His powers can ignore physics and gravity, so he can just stop Tatsumaki telekinesis on him.

Well, it still could work If Tatsumaki got him by surprise. And his arrogance could also be a problem to him.
But I not seeing how effective BFR gonna be really.

I din't say that, she could also just retreat. Which is OOC, so...
Is just, her wincon is a thing that not gonna be effective, since Regulus can just comeback for whenever he got trown.
He can't come back since his limit is "at least 100km". which is less than Tatsumaki's range.

And sending him away is different than just "space" here. Tatsumaki easily sends him hundreds of kilometers away, if Regulus's ability were to close down, she would know as she literally senses it.
Ok, so you need to be way more clear.
So what you trying to say here, is that Tatsumaki gonna trow Regulus way further than he can comeback?
No? Regulus's authority has distance limit. After he passes it, it's over. He's a person with average strength. one attack from Tatsumaki sends him away with or without intention.
She doesn't know about his weakness, so trowing him so far pf the range of his wifes is iffy at best
She does it normally too?
That really don't stop from him of coming back. He don't lose all of his powers when he not near his wives, he can still use for atleast 5 seconds. So chances are, even if she trow him so far, he still can likely comeback
The moment Regulus is away, He's dead. Tatsumaki's range is way too high + she knows if he's using his authority or not.
He also can also just stop midway if he wants, and become a immovable object. His powers can ignore physics and gravity, so he can just stop Tatsumaki telekinesis on him.
He's Regulus.

Also Tatsumaki has a lot in her arsenal that would give her advantages against him.

she caused one earthquake that could’ve killed many innocents when fighting saitama, tried to twist hero association base with EVERYONE inside of it, dropped a BIG BOLDER at a civilian car and didnt give a **** about it…
Tatsumaki is sociopath with ideals.

just stop acting as if Tatsumaki was that heroic, she isnt. Saitama’s whole point in the fight was keeping her away from civilians so she wouldnt kill them all in a rampage

killing people was never a problem for Tatsumaki

everyone was literally going to get Psykos’ treatment if not for Saitama saving them. (not to say that Saitama is also innocent and she was literally trying to kill him)

If people much slower than Tatsumaki and that cannot fly or perceive Regulus's attacks can dodge them I don't see how they will be a problem for her even if they are FTL
Subaru and Emilia have faster reactions than Tatsumaki and had knowledge on his Authority (Subaru had effectively psycho-analyzed Regulus by the end). But besides that, Regulus was intentionally not killing those two. He wanted to prove his superiority to the woman who scorned him and the man who stole his bride, if he killed them right away he'd feel as though they got away with it.

Crusch was instantly disarmed by Regulus' attack despite being able to see invisible winds and having better reactions than Tatsumaki. Petelgeuse was disarmed in a similar way. And of course, Regulus could tag Reinhard multiple times. Danmaku also makes dodging much, much harder.

He can't come back since his limit is "at least 100km". which is less than Tatsumaki's range.
where does it say that the range is only 100km, because it says planetary. The same way he threw Reinhard, he can do it to himself.

Tatsumaki's throwing range for bfr is stated by her to be space:

That is just straight up wrong. The distance limit only applies to his ability to share his heart with his wives. His Authority works on himself and therefore has no distance limit, only a time limit which is what the heart transfer is meant to circumvent. But let's say he only has 5 seconds on the clock. Regulus still has FTL+ speed and can almost instantly return to the battlefield. Tatsumaki won't be able to stop him as his top speed is far too fast for her. Also, why are we assuming that BFR would work on Regulus when her normal telekinetic attacks wouldn't? He's not just invulnerable but can outright ignore any forces applied to his body.

she literally has x ray vision and she has shown it multiple times.

you cant even argue that she was tracking telekinetic energy since drive knight is a robot and she clearly was seeing him with her x ray vision.
I’m just going off the scans you gave me, and based on what I’m seeing since i'm unfamiliar with the series, but I don’t see how this confirms Tatsumaki has actual x-ray vision.

My first question is, why wouldn’t Drive Knight have telekinetic energy just because he’s a robot? From what I know, Tatsumaki controlled a TV using her psychic powers, so clearly, her abilities aren’t limited to just organic beings. Does telekinetic energy only apply to humans or something? I’m not familiar with OPM’s mechanics, so you’d have to clarify that.

Regarding the “x-ray vision” stuff..the scans you provided only show circles, not detailed visuals of what’s inside the buildings, let alone people. If she really had full x-ray vision, she wouldn’t just see vague circle shaped indicators of where people are, she’d be able to see their full shapes and details. The fact that Drive Knight was also displayed as just circles, makes it unclear if she was actually seeing through the walls or if she was just detecting their presence through some kind of extrasensory ability.

Her profile even states she can sense and pinpoint their whereabouts while they were underground, but nothing in what you showed me suggests she can look through a body and say, “Oh, this guy doesn’t have a heart.” If she had x-ray vision, we would have seen her actually looking through things and seeing specific details, not just location markers.

Honestly based on what I’m seeing from the scans you provided, I don’t see how she would be able to look at Regulus and just know his heart is missing. Sensing someone’s presence and actually seeing inside their body are two completely different things, and I don’t see anything here that confirms the latter.

Also for Psykos it's the same thing, the eyes "looking at her" don't mean much, Tatsumaki couldve been just seeing the same thing she was seeing when tracking drive knight and the other guy behind/infront of him.

Could be wrong tho.

Tatsumaki saw and pinpointed the contents of a pill that Fubuki ingested several hours prior.

Btw i really doubt Tatsumaki could actually look INTO Regulus at all considering he is uninteractable which would mean her powers literally would not interact with him

Consensus?
As it stands, I'd say both sides have arguments that could give them the win. Regulus’ ability has the potential to end the fight almost instantly once he starts attacking unless Tatsumaki uses decoys. However, she would first need to witness Regulus' attacks before even deciding to use decoys, so I think it's unlikely she'd open with this strategy.

Tatsumaki's main win condition seems to be BFR. She could throw Regulus far enough, likely into space (despite statements of Regulus being able to come back from it), where he wouldn't be able to use Lion's Heart due to the range limitation with his wives (at least 100km), at which point he probably dies from the cold and radiation. This is something Tatsumaki could fairly easily do, but it's not clear if that's her opening move at the moment.

It has been argued that Tatsumaki wouldn't necessarily use her telekinesis to throw Regulus farther into space than necessary, at which point Regulus could come back. This isn't necessarily wrong, and in the case this happens, Tatsumaki probably wouldn't try throwing Regulus into space again since she has no idea how Regulus' ability operates aside from it making him a distortion in space.

Tatsumaki could however use her Telekinesis to move Regulus away at a distance that exceeds the 100km range of Little King (while still on earth), and then this gives her a chance to kill Regulus while his ability isn't activated. The counterargument is that Regulus could use his FTL speed and authority to return (though it’s unclear how, since he can’t react to his own speed). If he does, he may take the fight more seriously and resort to spamming AoE attacks, which would be deadly for Tatsumaki.

Since this message is getting rather long, I'll summarize what I've read so far (apologies if I'm missing anything).

TL;DR
Tatsumaki's advantages are as follows:
  • Can potentially BFR Regulus into space or move him beyond Little King's range, making him vulnerable.
  • Can use decoys that Regulus wouldn’t be able to distinguish.
  • Can tell Regulus is an anomaly in space, which would prompt her to be cautious.
  • Faster than Regulus.
  • Most likely to act first since Regulus generally just yaps a lot.

Regulus' advantages are as follows:
  • Invulnerable to all of Tatsumaki's attacks, but can be moved by TK. He could potentially ignore Tatsumaki's TK with his authority, but given the speed gap, he likely wouldn’t do so fast enough.
  • All of his attacks are instant-kills, and his large AoE attacks could nullify Tatsumaki’s chances of dodging.
  • His attacks are unexpected and FTL. Tatsumaki can’t react to them unless she’s already in motion before he attacks, since he doesn’t require gestures.
  • If thrown into space, there’s a possibility he could return. If he does, Tatsumaki is unlikely to try sending him to space again (she cannot tell what his ability does, and has no reason to assume it has a range limit. If she throws him in space and he comes back, she would probably just assume this tactic wouldn't work).

There are arguments suggesting Tatsumaki could figure out Regulus’ link to his wives, but this scenario is highly unlikely and requires too many steps. Her other win conditions seem far more viable. Imo, this matchup depends on many "ifs" and speculations about how the characters would behave (how fast does Regulus attack, would he take Tatsumaki seriously, how far would she BFR Regulus, would he come back from it, etc.).

For now, I'll vote incon since I can genuinely see it going either way.

I've already addressed those points in the post you quoted. Regulus can ignore Tatsumaki's TK, but he has to focus for that to happen. With the current speed gap, Regulus would have already been moved before he can react and nullify Tatsumaki's TK (not to mention he generally doesn't bother doing that with opponents he doesn't take seriously, or at least not right off the bat). Tatsumaki would have a chance to BFR him into space, at which point he would die rather fast. I do agree it's not a sure fire kill, which is why I believe this fight is rather situational.

Plus in the situation where Regulus is still on earth, while thrown far enough from his wives so that Little King doesn't activate, there's a good chance for Tatsumaki to splatter Regulus before he can activate his 5 seconds time stop.

No, it just generally depends on what he wishes to do, it would not take any unnecesary amount of focus

As soon as he stops her TK he can go into FTL ramming mode and come straight back to the battlefield. Reinhard probably also would have launched him at FTL speeds outside of space and we have a confirmed statement from tappei on why it wouldnt work

Even if he DID get out of range, it wouldnt be a problem because he could just use the 5 second time stop to go back to earth

Also no, Regulus stopped Reinhard from splattering him too

My wording was rather poor, apologies. By focus, I just meant that he had to consciously activate this aspect of his ability, Tatsumaki could at least use her TK on him before he does so. Because of this (and also because Regulus often lets himself get ragdolled around), I think it'd be possible for Tatsumaki to throw him to space.

That is true, but I'm assuming that there's a good chance Regulus could die in space before that happens. Do we have any idea of how long it'd take for someone to die in space? If the time window is long enough, then I could see this rendering the BFR argument moot.
Also no, Regulus stopped Reinhard from splattering him too
Yeah, that is confusing, isn't it? There isn't anything written about Regulus' reaction time on his profile, is it still average human or higher?

He would probably let himself be ragdolled a bit before either getting too annoyed or serious and killing her
Since this is under SBA, I think Regulus has a much higher chance of killing her, although he usually leads with killing attacks anyway
(btw i am pretty sure even if Tatsumaki couldnt damage him she would start with ragdolling or crushing him)

as far as i remember it would take tens of seconds for someone to get knocked out and several minutes to die however Regulus is pretty superhuman in terms of willpower and might just not get knocked in the normal time out of sheer spite
Either way it wouldnt be enough to permanently stop him
Yeah, that is confusing, isn't it? There isn't anything written about Regulus' reaction time on his profile, is it still average human or higher?
probably happened due to the flow method giving him a reaction time amp in a tense situation (flow amps generally seem to work like a super version of adrenaline)

Welp, there goes one of Tatsumaki's wincons. 🤷‍♂️

Still not sure about this, I'll wait for more input from supporters.
