All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

what do you reckon the ssj4 multiplier would be? Since he overpowered the evil eye post adaptation which looks like it got Goma from base to ssj3 Vegeta in the first one so…….

Man, stop trying to negate the level of mediocrasy that is this
Maybe you should stop crying about every little thing?

What explains Kibito Kai?

There are multiple work arounds to it if you think hard, be it off scree or right in front of your face. Maybe they dont care at all and said "Ya know what? Fukc it."

They still got the fusion bugs, right?

In episode 5, Beerus acknowledges Goku is holding back his "hidden power" and demands he display "everything" and unleash "[his] real power", and Goku describes Super Saiyan 3 as the "most powerful [of the Super Saiyan forms]"; after Goku instinctively evades Beerus's killing blow, Beerus even wonders if Goku is "hiding more powers". By the end of Daima, as an adult, Goku could freely use the full extents of the power of Super Saiyan 4, which is vastly superior to the previous form. He has zero reason to not use Super Saiyan 4, which presumably yields a far more stable energy consumption, when asked to display everything he has.

Goku did Goku things and couldnt break Beerus defense even as a SSJ 2. Beerus says "Yeah bud, this aint it everything you have got ... show me your hidden powerS and show me everything" He uses the pluar version which helps in my case but the "show me everything" part is a good counter to it.

Anyway ... long story short: Manga Goku flat out says there is nothing above SSJ 3 and Anime Goku says: "This is the most powerful Super Saiyan 3"

Manga is pretty clear cut like 1000/10. Theres no work around. Anime not so much. With one eye closed and a bit of weed, it might just work?

At the end of the day its a fanservice and and they made me so happy

It’s possible a magic monkey appeared and forced them to fuse as well.

Just because it’s possible, doesn’t mean it happened.

It’s clearly a retcon, and that’s ok, but pretending they willingly fused or some nonsense incident occurred that fused them again is silly to say the least.

There are downsides ofc it has clear connections to Super yet has contradictions as well, the canon between it and Super should be considered ambiguous not definitive
My bad, I meant to comment "There's no downsides to this take." Somehow I ended up posting the opposite by mistake.

Sonic does it better lets be honest

Just barely trought.
The difference is Sonic Canon is kinda weird If you overthink the details, but with Dragon Ball you can give one look on everthing and go "Wat."

Also, this is a awful bait. 😴
There are not so many details, the world of Sonic is a quite complex world and has more variety than that of Dragon Ball (I say this without fear) and it is strange that certain things are different from each other, but explanations can be made for certain problems there.

Alexander, could you maybe more detailed, because I have no Idea wtf you trying to say.

ok, imagine it like this:
Dragon ball daima, introduces a new transformation, we go later into future arcs (dragon ball super)and goku, NEVER USES THIS NEW TRANSFORMATION, like, never, not against beerus, not aganst anyone ever after this.
Sonic, on other hand, has a excuse to explain why sonic does not have x transformation, he needs special artifacts and he does not always have the special artifacts (except the wisps, he has those).
basically, one has excuses and explanations that, at least make sense...the other...no

Is because Daima is not Canon to Super bro. 🤷‍♂️

Ehhh, you not being fair with the comparison here, there's a difference between "Powers that are inherent to me, and I can use anytime" vs "I can only use this Powers when I have a specific item".
You would need to bring examples for former, not the latter, so you argument can be Fair, considering what we are discussing.

man, then just decanonize super, Daima is not getting decanonize.

even if Sonic had a inherent transformation that he can use, there is also another excuse for someone else for not using it

This canon fight again, everything that is canon is what was done by the author himself and nothing that refutes Daima being canon, there's no point in coming up with a retcon because not even that changes Daima being canon. Stop with your assumptions that one work is more canon than another, when both are canon works.

recton, means something is retroactively changed...this is not a recton, this is the best example into how you screw up your own timeline.

There's nothing that supports either trought.

Like, just being written by Toriyama don't mean is gonna be Canon to Super, since It can be two different canon continuities. Like the manga and Anime of Super.

this idea of manga and anime of super both being different "canon"seems like the most dumb one someone came up with

There have always been contradictions in DB, be happy to have a work to see, once again... Contradictions do not refute a work from being canon, unless Toei or anyone with rights comes and says it's not canon, otherwise it's just your guesswork.

Ah yes, a world of hundreds of undercooked characters and concepts that never get properly explored with a history of half baked games/media, where have I heard that before. Be honest with yourself, Dragonball and Sonic have a lot in common in terms of their highs and lows and both have really inconsistent histories, but just be grateful that things are looking up for both franchises rather than shilling your obvious bias for one (and maybe stop talking about sonic in a thread for dragon ball)
