For those that play Sparking Zero, I gotta ask, does the Fusion get stronger when you fuse the characters in a battle rather than picking them outright from the select screen or it doesn't change anything?
I ask because in BT3 Fusing mid battle resulted in a much stronger fusion.
As far as I’m aware, this is still the case, yes.
-Saiyans are the descendants of Majin that left the Demon Realm and they evolved from their demonic ape forms into their human forms.
-Turles is an ancient saiyan who possibly fought Yamoshi and has been sealed this entire time
-He somehow ends up free and leads a gang of majin, taking over the Second Demon World
-The Tree of Might is a tree located in the Second Demon World where the Glind (Shin and possibly all the kais) come from
-Turles makes use of the Tree of Might to devour the energies of the Demon Realm, trying to restore the dormant majin power in his blood
-His transformation is a Majin Great Ape
-Ends in Goku defeating him with Ultra Instinct
-Essentially an angelic saiyan overcoming a demonic saiyan
My only change is instead of making Turles as old as Yamoshi, with Saiyans originating from there, it’s that he’s the reverse of Piccolo. When Saiyans left and fled Sadala, whilst a majority made it to Planet Plant, some went into the Demon World. This happened ant the same time the Demons left, allowing them in. Also, I’d keep the Shinseiju (ToM) and Kaiju (World Core Tree) separate, and simply have them share the same planet.
Their exodus changed them via their adaptive and evolutionary capabilities, creating their different anatomy across generations. Then he follows your plot as normal.
I’d explain that reason that the Oozaru have pointy ears is simply the fact Great Apes are a form that feed on the environment. This references GT’s evolutionary schtick with SSJ4, since Toriyama clearly likes doing that and playing with its concepts in Daima. To trigger is the moon, an environmental factor, and the power gain is also partially environmental, sapping the ambient energy from the environment.
Given the wide spread of Demonic Energy in the cosmos due to the exodus of Demon Realm inhabitants, this means many planets are full of residual Demonic Ki. This residual is what triggers those who are so evil that they become Demons turning into Mazoku.
Further, as Saiyans sap it the environment, this means their True Forms are indeed Demonic, but normally they aren’t (hence lack of ears). This also explains part of why Broly’s amp was so abnormally high. As a Demonic Legendary Super Saiyan (as the identical legend of U6 puts it), his mutation is caused by this energy. Then in Ikari, he wasn’t just growing absurdly—He was absorbing the ambient Chi of the planet, and God Ki.
(No, this doesn’t mean he gains God Ki. Saiyans would merely just convert the energy they accept.)
Turles would then be not only a Demonic Saiyan, but a Saiyan trying to achieve Godhood the wrong way. Goku did so with the goodwill of his friends. Turles does it alone, taking advantage of others. Goku worked hard and adapted. Turles steals the Tree of Might and the right of the Gods for his own gain. Goku acts to better himself with pure intentions, Turles acts only to increase his own power and conquer. Further, he mirrors Piccolo.
Born into a Demonic People, the descendant of those forced out of their homeland, fighting for a dead legacy, he understands Turles, and understands why they must fight him. When he was like that, while he had the potential for good, his heart was driven by Pure Evil.
And he mirrors Vegeta, who too had his home stolen by someone else (Frieza), who used to fight for a dead legacy (the Saiyans), and who would also want to fight, as well as save, Turles—Because he was much like himself. A way to absolve himself of the Sins of the Saiyans, by helping a Saiyan who only exists as the negative consequence of rampant battle and classism. As Turles is a Saiyan who is to represent “What if Goku hadn’t bumped his head?” he would be a person who hates the Elite. Not a Vegeta clone of the films, but a fully fleshed and layered hatred.
This also allows him to interface with Gohan, a person who can relate to being in the shadow of another (Goku) and having to fight to exist. He also gets to relate to Broly, who was forcibly ejected due to the heritage of his people by a higher class of Saiyan (King Vegeta) and what the fires of revenge can do to you, through what happened to his father.
Turles rejects enlightenment, rejects the better path, gets defeated, and our heroes end the arc with renewed resolves that resonate with their character arcs.
