Here it's simple: Percival is superior to Fiddich, who attacks at lightning speed, and Ironside is superior to both.

If you're in doubt about whether Ironside is FTL, he's superior to Macduff, who has attacked Percival multiple times. (Lancelot was replicating Macduff faithfully)

Fiddich = Speed of Light
Liones Percival = FTL
Makai Percival = > Liones Percival
Macduff = > Makai Percival
Awakened Percy > Pellegarde 50% > Macduff
Awakened Percy ≈> Ironside = Pellegarde 100%
Ban 10% > 100% Ironside and 100% Pellegarde

Making 100% Ban 20c (FTL+) since 50% Pellegarde is canonically stronger than Macduff.

So
Fiddich = Lightspeed
Lionel Percy, Makai Percy, Macduff, 50% Pellegarde = FTL
Ironside, 100% Pellegarde, Awakened Percy, 10% Ban = at least 2c
100% Ban, DM2 Meliodas, Escanor, King, DK, CBL Zeldris, Arthur, Cath
= at least 20c

Well, in chapter 130 of 4KoA, Ban fights Ironside and beats him with extreme ease. In the next chapter, it is said that one of the knights used a spell that left Ban with 1/10 of his physical abilities, and as we can see here, speed is a physical ability.

What would Ban do with his normal physical abilities FTL+ (10c)

Who would go for it: Meliodas, Arthur, Lancelot (he fought equally against Arthur and if the difference between the two was so great, mind reading would be useless) and perhaps King (since he and Ban were comparable in speed in NNT).
[/SPOILER]

Ban and Meliodas have always been comparable in speed, it doesn't make sense to scale only to Ban.
I just remembered that raw said the strongest sins is Meliodas, meaning i'd agree for the scales. However, for FTL+ i tend to be neutral rather than agree.

In the 4KoA databook Meliodas is said to be the strongest sin,
Btw like you should update this link.

How sure are we that the "speed of light attack" statement here is literal and not a hyperbolic / figurative statement?

Author side text, we treat these statements the same way as Q&A.

+ Lightspeed is something that’s within NNT’s range of speed it’s very reasonable for a Chaos knight with speed based magic to be lightspeed (+ considering he completely blitzed amped Percy it wasn’t even close the only one that wasn’t blitzed was Sin a 7DS lvl character)

This is okay ig but there’s a few things to add

« at the speed of light » not lightning speed

how did half his strength suddenly become half his speed?

Fiddich Lightspeed attack half destroyed Percy’s forces

Liones Percy was able to beat each dark talisman in a fight
And he got way stronger in Makai but still could not beat Macduff until his awakening

I use Google translate so it was lightning speed
光速/kōsoku basically means « the speed of light » or « Light speed »

You forgot about SD
yeah SD too

I'm still not seeing how this translates to speed

Fiddich is Lightspeed (1c)
Percival > Fiddich even back in Liones (at least FTL)
Macduff is a blitz gap above Liones Percy (at least FTL)
Pellegarde 50% > Macduff (at least FTL)
Ironside 100% = Pellegarde 100% (at least 2c)
Makai Awakened Percy > Ironside (at least 2c)
10% Ban > 100% Pellegarde/Ironside (at least 2c)
100% Ban 10x > 10% Ban (at least 20c)

Currently neutral, leaning against it - unless there is more to support the ratings.
More to support the ratings ?

We have an author statement.

Said author statement is for a speed that’s not even above the current speed ratings of the verse

Said author statement is for a situation where everyone was blitzed despite a canonical FTL character

The upgrade scaling (20c) correlates and is supported by a calculation (Lowballed 25c calc)

Besides his magic having to do with speed and was given by Arthur himself

That's the thing. I don't believe if 50% pellagarde is 1c then 100% is 2c. There is no statement stating his speed was also halved

First of all it’s 50% at best

+ Strength in NNT is the overall physical ability stat of a character

+ The raw panel uses 実力 which means « real ability, efficiency, true power » not just brute force

It’s his overall ability in a fight that was halved

2c is pretty justified

you'd have to drop scans for strength= overall physical ability
The raws don't matter. whether it is power or ability it does not matter. you'd have to prove the drop in 50% power means an equal or linear drop in both speed and strength. Keyword being linear

Here is Merlin’s explanation about combat class.

A drop of 50% of his physical abilities means what it means it was shown when Ban used Snatch

Yeah you're still saying the same thing. Prove the physical abilities every stat there drops linearly.
You’re just nitpicking cause you dislike NNT atp.

Reducing 100% of Meliodas physical abilities meant reducing both his speed and strength linearly to 0 AT THE SAME TIME cause they work as a pair

Pellegarde never went all out against Percival at best 50% of his physical abilities (strength AND speed)

And we have proof that his speed was also reduced

I'm not nitpicking and I love NNT actually (never read 4koa though). It's just site standards. This exacts same thing is going on with dxd rn and not too long ago.

If your speed drops by 20% your strength by 30% that's a 50% drop in abilities. The variables are endless. No one is arguing speed does not reduce. You need prove that speed and strength drops linearly

The strength stat is composed of every attribute we treat it like « Speed and physical strength »

A drop of 50+% of « strength » mean that both Strength and speed drop linearly together

As shown with the Meliodas exemple

No it does not mean it is linear. That in itself requires proving. just leave it up to staff. we are going in circles

Something linear Is something that progresses from one stage to another following a same line.

You assume it could be 30% strength 20% speed while it’s just stated to be half of his true « strength » same stat that was already shown in the past to linearly decrease/increase speed along with physical strength.

When demons use DM their Speed also doubles along with their AP

When Meli’s strength decrease, his speed decrease linearly down to 0 at the same time because both values fall under the same « strength » that’s decreasing.

Why should we assume that a 100% decrease/200% increase are only linear in Meliodas and Zeldris cases but not in Pelle’s

It’s effectively going in circles, « strength » being halved mean that what compose said strength is cut in half…
And it was shown in the past that a decrease in strength is an equal decrease in speed
