Long story short, I'm here still scaling stuff in the real world primarily so even the most civil, good people here won't make the most fallacious assumptions.

In the meantime, it's about time we gave the real world verse actual standards to scaling real life animals, so people can think like me and NightlessDarling.

I completed this page to use to codify such standards, though I bet one of us will have to make it a blog or official page soon since it's a rather open-ended sandbox.

Edit: Should this be on the page? I'll plan to make new sections and add them to their respective sections they belong to. (Final explanation blog, since I find it more appropriate as an explanation blog than a rule blog. Most of the explanation blogs I've seen are used in scaling or cosmology).

Edit 2 (Nov 17): I'm finished with these current changes that have been suggested to be edited in the blog.

So far from what I've read this all seems sensible in its regards to irl scaling

Thank you for helping out. 🙏🙂

Seems well put and the explanation is complete, but I will write the "other notes" section in a tad bit more formal way, although it's current state is neithe rbad nor wrong.
Also, this website can be accessed only bu US residents (or VPNs) while this other is semmingly dead or removed.

If that is what it takes, ok. I have a bit of bias to writing the page and I don't want anyone reasonable to be taken the wrong way or insulted.

Will recheck the sources you stated though. Eepecially the powercube one...

I don't think anyone of you needs to worry about the broken links. They have their respective links backed up on the wayback machine.

If anyone of you thinks the links should be replaced for accessibility. Go ahead. But any link rot in the future like Saman mentions usually is covered by me backing up stuff on the archiving websites mentioned on the page.

bump; this thread had quite excellent momentum. Though in a day or two, I'll check up on Saman if they're done with their edits in order for the page to be converted to a blog/official page.

Are you going to make the other notes section formal? There doesn't seem to be an edit from you on the page.

What has been accepted here can probably be applied now. 🙏

Thank you very much for helping out. 🙏🙂

It seems reasonable to me at least. 🙏

It seems like there is sufficient staff approval here now to apply your accepted revisions. 🙏

Since the changes of the blog have been accepted, it's best if we apply the (standards) link here as a bullet point.

I'll reread the rules first, then I'll apply it if no one else does.

Thank you for helping out. 🙏

So what, if anything, still needs to be done here?

The main part is done here. This thread can be closed for now.

In the future, I'll set standards of reliability for how we'll deal with supposed "IRL supernatural" events, getting more credible studies and historical accounts. That will be on the main animal CRT or staff discussion thread if it's big enough, but for now, I'll be working on a Xmas special for the site.

Okay. That seems good to me then.

Thank you to everybody who helped out with this thread. I will close it now. 🙏
