I think we can all agree that Sarada will be the true 8th Hokage. Shikamaru hasn’t “officially” taken the position, which obviously sets up him giving it back to Naruto when he comes back and I Definitely see Naruto passing the position onto Sarada when she’s 25-30 years old.

Also a weird nitpick here. Otsutsuki essence isn't required for sentience. Even in the 4GNW, the ten tail pieces that separated grew their own sentience. The thing that makes the grimes special is their ability to grow an ego when they become a shinju. And that is clearly because of Isshiki's essence.

Don't ignore the first statement "I don't know why or how..."
Isshiki's essence is clearly a hypothesis by Boruto.
If you choose not to believe its claw mark that caused the sentience that's fine, but don't pretend Isshiki's essence isn't just a possibility.

It's not like you can explain how claw marks (supposedly teleportation) can create claw grimes.
The WA ten tail pieces are not sentient. They're part of the Juubi, similar like clones to Naruto

@Shadowbokunohero ishikki's loss against kaguya should be removed and probably redone. Her win revolved around ishikki not being able to do anything about her High regen and using IT or ash killing bone on him. But she does not have the regen anymore and Jigen has resistance to IT. Not to mention that any attack from ishikki one shots her

Um whose ability set do you think Kawaki inherited? Why wouldn’t Isshiki be able to use his own abilities?

It's more like the Daikokuten jutsu can be used on anything the user has shrank to send it to the timeless dimension and neither Isshiki nor Kawaki can shrink living beings.

Kawaki gets around that limitation by using the Otsutsuki's black interdimensional portals to send Naruto & Hinata to that timeless dimension without having to shrink them first.

If we take into account that she and the 10tails are one then the 10 tails low mid regen should apply. But her High regen which was an issue is no longer there

This is just straight up untrue
An ability that allows one to place people or objects in an alternate dimension where time doesn't flow and retrieve them at will.
It was originally Isshiki Otsutsuki's jutsu, but Kawaki inherited it through his Karma.

I have wondered about this on multiple occasions, stated as such too, and now just given up and accepted that Isshiki is just dumb like that. I get people not making the most out of their abilities like BM Naruto, but forgetting you have a one shot ability and never using it is indefensible.

I mean he was trying to get information out of them with his limited amount of time before he died which woulda been impossible if they were suspended in timeless space.

it was less of a fight to Isshiki and more about beating info out of fodder
