The fights dragged on far too long in the manga. Honestly, it might just be me not having to read all the words that's determining my opinion.

Some of these Quincy are hard to root against, these little goofballs are funny as hell.

Also, Mayuri referred to Giselle as "Gigi," while fighting Pepe, that was kind of sweet.

For Mayuri vs Pernida, I'd agree. But Askin's fight needed more chapters. I think the fight was a total of 4/5 chapters. It's a fight between some of the most popular characters and the most likable Schutzstaffel member. It deserves more.
