Naruto to Boruto Discussion Thread

Who do you think got the biggest upgrade in their transitional time skips? Naruto (Part I to Part II)? or Boruto (Boruto to Blue Vortex or whichever his sequel series is called I forgot)?

Actually, the implication here via Delta is that he did. Just not as much as Boruto…. 😕
 
Regarding the previous topic about people's desires for certain tiers, I think that wanting characters to reach levels purely for the sake of wanking in vsbattles fights is kind of stupid.
However, how strong a character is and how much they show it can be a great narrative device and can be used to build 'hype' around a character. For example, if they showed Momoshiki's memories and showed him destroying a planet after eating his first chakra fruit or something akin to that, it'd add to his 'coolness' factor, and it'd also make the line about Momo > Kaguya more visibly true.

My original proposal was a stray attack blowing up Pluto (in the sense of fireball twice the size of Pluto) or something along those lines, mainly because it was a meme that 'Pluto gets blown up in every fictional work', which I'm not sure translated well here.
 
Can Madara's Tengai Shinsei be scaled above his Perfect Susano'o, since he considers it to be only usable when he's using Edo Tensei implying it can kill him even with the Perfect Susano'o

no not if the planet is far away enough. It wouldn't be a problem for the planet until the star actually explodes (goes supernova) which it didnt yet

The only thing I find wrong with this is a planet where it's star had already become a supernova naturally won't exist. So considering momo and kinshiki were there harvesting the planet for years the only explanation is the supernova happened recently and very very suddenly.

If you say it happened naturally there won't be a chakra fruit to even harvest.

Anyway the feat is so vague the only way to get it is if they like adapt it even which I think is impossible.

But there is resistance momo could get for sitting down in the midst completely fine. Radiation resistance and the rest

The only reason people are really pressed about power scalling in boruto is because of it's predecessor.
Like damn near the end of shippuden you have a lot of world ending feats and then we fast forward to boruto where said characters involved in those feats prior are meant to be in their prime and are narratively fighting stronger characters and most of the time we get wall level feats everywhere? So it's not that people really just want large tier 4 feats and stuff. Honestly people just want feats that potray that these characters have at least this power or more that were displayed at the latter end of it's predecessor.
I get they want to tone down the destruction sure but there were damn near very good chances for them to display it.

Momoshiki vs naruto and sasuke was in a different dimension so there was no constraint of trying not to destroy everywhere and stuff like that and yet what did we get? Bunch of tier 8 feats from the guy above someone who could merge with the environment and possibly the entire planet in her dimension and attack.
jigen vs naruto and sasuke was even more tired down. They went out of their way to say they have no reason to hold back but yet sasuke swinging the sword that cuts meteors like butter just raises a bit of dust.
So I don't blame people seeing regularly tier 7 and 6 feats from mid tiers and suddenly God tiers are dropping only tier 8 feats would put people off.

The anime even tries to up the scales of destruction how they can. The manga is just almost zero feats. Anime arcs actually have most of the best feats in the series

More likely he just depended on getting better with karma and didn't give a **** about normal shinobi training

Yeah we already debated this it turns out even if Momoshiki "caused it" it doesnt actually mean anything
 
Someone actually brought up a very valid point.
Why did Boruto ask Kawaki to fight alongside him if he can't handle the resonance? Even Koji didn't stop him.
 
He prolly just asked for formalities sake, seeing Kawaki's reaction to Boruto popping up in Konoha, despite Code being right there kinda proves that there was no way he was gonna work together with Boruto, but even if he did say yeah, he prolly would've told him about his Karma weakness and would've told him to not rely on it. Since he was surprised on how weak Kawaki's base was, he prolly expected him to have a stronger base.

We are on a VS platform, Tier 5 (and sometimes 4) is like the go to topic for Naruto top tier scaling.

On the topic of Boruto, what's the latest? Are the villains still selling match, being frauds, and taking the L. Please tell me someone is getting Ws and making plays that work. Just want to know if the plot is moving at a brisk pace or is it a little on the slow side.

these type of comments are so reductive especially for an ongoing series where revelations or lore aren't fulfilled right away, especially for a monthly series. We haven't even seen what Baby Kurama can do yet 😭

This comment might've been sarcasm, but alot of this thread is sarcasm and reductive comments so it's really hard to tell lol
