Yeah, although most of the time, only the already rich benefit. And obviously, the tourist areas are made to look like a first-world country.
Known a lot of Haitians in my life, and they are such good people. It's pretty sad what has been happening to them, and I truly believe they could have improved their economic situation if the rest of the world tried to help them instead of just doing the bare minimum. I hate that the US has intervened in a lot of dictatorships but couldn't even bother to help Haiti when they had one of the worst dictatorships in the world, and the people were suffering. If they did, their economic and governmental situation would be fixed years ago.

I do think taxes are necessary, but it is true that tax money is often misused, and taxes diminish our incomes a lot. If I get my dream job, I'll move out of the tax hellhole that is NYC to a less tax-heavy state/city.

I never signed any contract regarding taxes, so taking money from me without consent through threats (being arrested or killed by the state) is simply theft. In a scenario where I am genuinely consenting to the tax, I totally agree with you. But such scenario doesn't exist

I dunno if anyone feels the same but it looks like DBS is essentially milking pre-end of Z content in a very similar manor to the prequel and original content of Star Wars such as adding new lore, characters, plotlines, etc during time-skips however this new content is scattered across different mediums that use different interpretations thus causing convoluted world building (E.g the DBS manga and anime being fundamentally different from each other in a similar manor to how the Prequel trilogy is different with and without the additional content like the Clone Wars animated series plus like any other long running franchises both are subject to retcons).
Also both franchises made a huge part of itself non-canon to the main continuity/timeline (E.g: GT and Legends) then again it makes sense since Akira Toriyama is a SW fan (at least of the original trilogy, one of the few USA entertainment franchises to make it big in Japan).
Just read a Chinaman novel that uses full on Buddhism or Confucianism, a generic meta Isekai WN or look up SCP extended canon.
