Vs battles wiki pet peeves

I got walt winning

Actual pet peeve. I think the Standard tactics section is very underused. Two characters can have the same stats and similar abilities but fight completely differently, which goes a long way for making the pages feel like they cover an actual character.

Obviously it doesnt matter much when it comes to vs fights since a lot of those are bloodlusted but its still important for indexing purposes

So you mean skill? Or what they start with? Because those two things get asked a lot

If I recall correctly there was a CRT to change it so it's in-character but willing to win rather than to kill

And I really dislike passive hax too, considering that shit is what causes your characters to get stomped most of the time

I've seen a few "skillstomps" threads where it's just decided that someone like Joseph Joestar simply skillstopms via Extraordinary Intelligence + random bullshit + unlikely scenarios with no explanation other than "that's what Joseph does" which in the spirit of the JoJo plot does sound like something that can happen but at the same time feels so low effort that nobody should've even bothered to ask.

Yeah, gotta love "Joseph wins via a plan I can't think of" as a serious argument Jojo guys bring up.

Yeah by that point Intelligence is being "scaled" in the same, quantitative manner as Attack Potency except there's no real effort or analyzation put forward. It sucks and is boring.

It's not like we can't parse the stuff Joseph actually does in Part 2, or that we haven't seen the limits of his ingenuity. Heck, he won the final battle against Ultimate Kars through sheer luck and happenstance. But for these characters (not limited to JoJo, it's just the most common) Intelligence stats become no different from Toon Force in debates.
