It's more like they mostly had no information on cursed tool. Sukuna wasn't using that when he was Fighting Gojo and Yuji and Higu pulled right after Kashimo's death. So most likely they didn't had any idea or they didn't bothered to think about his tool

Felt like Yuta/Yuji might get an enlightened in this arc. Also this is mostly setting up for Yuta or Yuji DE. I believe mostly for Yujis. There might be a possibility Yuji finally spams a domain and that would turn the tables. Yuta DE also unknown so far. Or Maki sneak attack with soul Katana and Dura neg.

Yuji domain would probably be the best story-wise, but it seems weird that he hasn't used it if he does have one

Mostly it would like an awakening as I said. Mahito learned to spam DE in the middle of the fight so it wouldn't be surprising if Yuji pulls the same. Also I don't think Yuji currently has a domain. If he had he would have spammed it already.

However kenjaku did move his arms towards himself in the feat.so if someone finds the length he moved,you might be able to turn it into ap using GPE.

It comes from cursed spirits that are born from the shared awareness of concepts which is concept type 3. It was in the 2nd abilities upgrade thread.

Also, I am nearing getting an answer on void manip/CM type 3 so stay tuned plz.
