I don't think so. This is game mechanics.

So even inferior dragons with weak descriptions could overcome the stronger ones.

Besides that again, things like health bar and etc are game mechanics. Sonic had a problem because of this involving multipliers.

Well it breaks the consistency of common dragons so we just treat it as an outlier and move on.
