Ap wise teach is a match for law and hax wise his Darkness and ability to counter DF is what makes him powerful. If he is unable to use that on Law then he is a sitting duck for KROOOOM!!!

I'm betting he has special toughness like Franky, Mr.1 or Jozu who are better at taking piercing & slashing-based attacks than most characters without haki.

I'm not suprised: All the decades in which he could've spent on more adventuring & eating meat, wasted in just a blink of an eye. Truly a horrible timeline if Bonney's power on him was permanent.

1: He elongates his sword
2: He sticks it through you ( yes I'm aware of how nasty this sounds but it's literally what happens I can not explain it any other way )
3: It's intangible so it goes through you, though.
4: He then produces electric waves throughout the sword and it fries your organs ( and some bones as you're about to see ) all throughout your body.

I was shook at the fact that Law can now make his room appear places not around HIMSELF, then I remembered he did that with the Silence technique on Big Mom. The fact that he made it spawn around BB and cut the horse was just cool.
Blackbeard's a damn tank though. Despite feeling pain far greater than a regular person, he took that Shock Wille pretty damn well


The most shocking part about this chapter is the fact that Franky's wearing pants

I assumed that was because he was using the yami yami to nullify the blade's ability? Either that or like Emin said, two intangible space distorting attacks can clash somehow

He could already create rooms around people far away from him, but not around himself, in the Pirate Warriors games. I think it's his R1 move. Potential foreshadowing, like with Shanks' Haki?

I'm doubting the 1st option. With the Darkness Fruit he wouldn't just make the sword tangile again but also shrink it back to its original size & lose the room aura.
 
I hope that somebody powerful, such as Sengoku, will show up to help save Law and his crew, similarly to the Hancock situation.
 
Well, it is better than Trafalgar Law getting killed off and having his power stolen. He is one of the best characters in the series in my view.
 
Blackbeard's modus operandi is to murder devil fruit users and take their powers though.

Yes - but I'm saying that may not be the case if he sees value in keeping him alive.

And his primary motive so far is stealing Law's Poneglyph rubbings. He hasn't said "Can't wait to get your Op-Op fruit too." Though we'll have to wait and see how it plays out.
 
Yes, I trust Oda to know what he is doing.
 
Honestly, considering all of the mirroring between this fight and the Ace fight, ranging from it being two D's clashing, Ace/law getting a piercing blow in on Blackbeard, starting with the crew jumping Law just like Ace and BB refusing to back down as it becomes a 1 on 1.. I doubt Oda's saving him out of this one.
Law might be in danger of either dying, getting captured or losing his ability. Also unrelated but Pudding's dialogue (unless the officials change it) definitely doesn't make it sound like Big Mom is dead.
 
I knew it was Kuzan who helped kidnap Pudding and somebody tried to tell me I was wrong. I'm already seeing Shiryu > Kuzan at other One Piece sites because of the Ch. 1031 colorspreads lol, but I have to see Shiryu in action first before I believe it considering Kuzan's past feats.

Oda really made people eat their words about Law's crew being useless fodder this chapter. ☠️ They impressed me, but too bad Oda waited so long to show us that they were always this competent.

And I agree that Pudding's words about Big Mom seems to be Oda hinting at us that she's definitely not dead.
 
Kaido is likely not even particularly badly damaged, given his heat resistance. Big Mom took far more damage beforehand, is older, spent a year of her life force in order to win, and is not extra heat resistant though, so I am not sure about if she is crippled or even dead.

Yeah didn't Kaidou wrap him self in flames hot enough to vaporize bones and he felt nothing during the process? Not to mention he was able to do this long enough to talk to Luffy and try to stop his punch. Now Big Mom.. she doesn't really have feats where she takes really hot attacks, but I think she did get struck by Zeus once and survived that. How ever, Kidd used Damned Punk and it burnt a hole in her stomach, so I'm not too sure if she could survive higher levels of heat.
 
I cant find any one piece general thread besides chapters so Ima just ask it here

I keep seeing people call shanks stronger than kaido and mihawk being superior to shanks whilst mihawk being weaker than kaido. What gives?
