the idea is good and very logical that to be honest why there was no story like that before?, but they wasted Scream and the fact that carnage survived is something that did not make sense, but hey is marvel

Nah, it's like, Man-Thing can literally not understand wincons and has no compulsion to perform them.
And for us to presume otherwise, would be us amping his intelligence.
You can try some other Asgardian, tho tbh I don't think Marvel has many good High 6-C picks for Fantasy themed characters.
Thor iirc you can't use because he by SBA is only 4-B
