Naruto to Boruto Discussion Thread

Naw Delta is shit too, lame ass DBZ rip off. Boruto handles its women worse than Naruto. And Naruto barely handled its women well to begin with.
 
My problem is absorption. Because that is the core cause of every single combat-based problem in Boruto.

Chakra isn’t linear, like Ki, and is responsible for a plethora of techniques. Fire, water, earth, lightning, ice, illusion, molecular deconstruction, wood, all of that… reduced to nothing, all because of absorption. For Madara, this wasn’t a problem, he used absorption sparingly, the tactics used to fight him hand-to-hand were excellent, and the art masked what would’ve just been DBZ. Momoshiki, was a pretty negligible offender, as, again, good art (anime), strategy, and lack of constant usage prevented it from getting stale.

This is not the same for the rest of the series. Jigen, Kawaki, Boruto, Delta, holy shit, please stop. Every single fight becomes a glorified taijutsu movie, which, on its own isn’t bad. Naruto is known for having amazing taijutsu sakuga, but it’s literally every major fight. This could be circumvented, if not for two problems:

1. The art.
2. Lack of grasp for the character.

In all of Boruto, there is no spreads. There’s a disgusting amount of speed lines, hardly any perspective and scenery, nothing. There’s no impact, it’s uninspired.

Naruto & Sasuke, who are consistently jobbed, show little to absolutely none of their combat ability. Even if you retract the TSO from Naruto, why are his chakra arms barely used? Even though his go to is the Rasengan, OG Naruto still could mix it up. Why is Sasuke relegated to just his blade? Why does he not coat it in raiton or Amaterasu? Why is Heavenly Hand Power only used to evade, when he could easily make great offensive movement, like when he struck Naruto with Chidori? It’s all just so horrible. I won’t even get into the problems with the lack of utilization of characters, but this is just my take.

Btw, I hate that Ada likes two children. She’s got a great design, but why?

Preach. Honestly, I'm starting to enjoy where the story is going, all they have to do is fix the stupid no jutsu fight formula. Like I wanna see my magical ninja use ninja magic, is that too much to ask?
 
Taijutsu is getting kinda annoying for me. Like, yeah, it's cool to get some sakuga scenes, Naruto does this better than every other anime, hell One Piece is getting god tier animation since last year and they barely have something that come closer to, huh, idk, Naruto and Sasuke Vs Jigen? But damn, it's getting repetitive. Do you wanna know how many repetitive panels (the one that seems the character is rushing) the manga has? 49

eh, Boruto is pretty much ruined. Changing the artist to someone that draws good fights would solve 80% of my problems. Pretty sure it won't change though, a shame. The artist from Samurai 8 is so much better than Ikemoto that isn't even funny
 
The thing is, I would ignore all of this. All of it. Every single one. If they actually focused on Sarada, Mitsuki, and Konohamaru in the manga.

I get it, it’s Boruto’s story, but Naruto went DOZENS of chapters where he wasn’t so much as name dropped. Is it even said WHY Sarada wants to be Hokage? I got a good reason, how about she finds out about the horrors of what Itachi went through (which apparently people still don’t know), and ensures that never happens again? To any clan?? Mitsuki is self-explaining. He’s just raw. Son of one of the Sannin, test tube baby, he’s got Sage Mode, like just do something with him. I’m not even gonna speak on Konohamaru, he’s the squad captain that gets no screen time, lol, okay.
 
Have you ever asked youself why you don't give a shit for Boruto lads? **** we all LOVE Choji, does anyone here likes ChoCho? We love Shikamaru, Chino, Kiba, Lee, Neji, etc etc etc. Do anyone here even give a shit for someone that isn't Boruto, Mitsuki or Sarada?

Boruto will NEVER have an arc like Sasuke Rescue Mission, Choji's peak character development, Shikamaru leading the squad and crying in the end because everyone almost died. What about a fight so fluid like Naruto Vs Sasuke? Nah, keep dreaming lmao.

That’s my problem, essentially. The newest generation is absolutely stoked, and has so much potential. Better designs, better abilities, there’s so much ground for this, all for nothing.
 
Sasuke hasnt been the same since Naruto DECKED his chin into Unspace.

Burrito is just the android saga, Naruto's fighting like a 45 yr old dad in a detroit walmart, The constant nerfs in boruto, Inconsistent AP, like is Base Nardo 5-C?,Naruto's SPSM design, Sasuke's heart virus, no consistent multipliers, Shitty manga designs, no destruction, Sasuke not being a G anymore, and The Monthly Schedule, Make the shit Bi weekly.

I agree with some things most especially Kodachi and Ikemoto not increasing the scale of the God tier fights. The DBS style fighting didn't really make them seem impressive. But I recall it being Kishi that made that decision since he wanted to "reduce the scale of battle".

OK, instead of talking about how bad Boruto is, why don't we talk about what you would do instead to make it good? Basically, imagine you're Kodachi doing Boruto, so how would you go about writing that series if you had that kind of control? Lay it on me, and go into as much detail as you want.

yeah the fights in boruto (manga) are just EH atleast with super the art looks much better. Them making ninjutsu borderline useless just adds on the lowering the quality of the fights. Personally I dont think N&S are nerfed but I can understand why people come to that conclusion, Sasuke hasnt even Thought of using GJ he didnt swap his sword INTO jigen/isshiki like he did juudara naruto iis fighting like hes just pressing circle in storm rather then using his big brain multi step plans like he he's been doing since like episode 5.

Ok i will try:

0:exclude the movie it lead to so many bad first impressions

1: introduce boruto and his qualities before going to the whole cheating thing, starting the series with the MC at his most unlikeble is never a good idea unless you making him badass unlikeble, like guts or thorffin
Ps: the anime tried to do such but by that point the movie had already made an unrepairable bad first impression for many

2: take away the whole boruto wants naruto attention shit, it is entirely build on the plothole of hokage work fatiguing someone with naruto stamina and he not making clones to just do the job while his real body is present for the family, instead focus on the cheating element which leeds to the next point

3: make several arcs prior to the chunin exams where you would slowlly but surely realize boruto character flaws like being lazy and getting angry by not managing to do something on first try, homever it should be make very clear that those are because boruto is a genius kid and doea not know how to handle those things because he never experienced them before

4: more emphasis on the chunnin exams, have shink and metal lee have an all out fight maybe creating a parallel betwenn them homever i will not dig deep on what this parallel would be because "too much fanfiction"., also make so boruto only cheats in one moment when he has not other choice,instead of using in every single fight make so he win most of them with his own ability, keep the cheating thing only for the shikadai fight,if someone wants to know why it is better to keep it for shikadai just ask me on my profile

5: fix the damn powerscaling new era kage fighting otsutsuki is sus as ****, and makes you feel like the fight ain't happening because it does not make any sense for it to be happening, also make so boruto mini rasengan null dura to make it hurting momo consistent and new team 7 having a realistic wincon against inner kara members

6: give sarada and mitsuki plot relevance

7: change sarada design, do i need to explain?

8: stop spamming naruto and sasuke they should only be fighting against god tiers

9: more ninjutsu, also show naruto and sasuke entire arsenal not working on jigen instead of just saying it would not work

10: if momo and ishiki are supposed to be above kaguya prove it with feats make them do some large AOE jutsu or some shit

11: daemon and ada powers are dumb,
dollar store jojo levels of dumbness ,
their powers do not fit in the naruto verse and we need them gone, especially since we know that unlike jojo , the mcs will not get around those powers in an intelligent and creative way it will be

Probably just like.. not make Boruto so OP..? Like- he has 3 nature chakras, karma, jougan, 1 rasengan and 3 rasengan variants, super smart etc etc...
He clearly outshines his whole class, and his team.. He even outshines his own teacher and squad leader...
