One Piece General Discussion: Egghead

You're literally making no sense right now. Do you even read one piece? Everything you've ever said about one piece has been so ********, and it's making people lose braincells.
I likely understand One Piece more than you do when literally the whole thing about One Piece is challenging adventures and battles making you stronger. If sitting around doing nothing makes you stronger, why don't Luffy just sleep for the entire 2 years and then come back to kick ass? No he trained by fighting beasts on Islands.

Meanwhile all Croco did was sit in Impel down doing nothing before that.

Because this is so common in anime, you literally got debunked on that point by tempest? This has happened with Erik in Fairy Tail, multiple naruto characters, in DBZ as well, where people are stronger JUST because. Somehow android 17 can TRAIN to blue level goku? You literally have no idea how anime scaling works, and if you don't like how the wiki works, leave lmfao.

Those are different animes with different powerscalings and different power systems, equalizing all of them is stupid.

I cba I just come in when I feel like it and leave when I feel like it. It is not like I invested most of my time here already like you.

So then get out? And no, I'm telling you this is very common where a character is stronger from doing nothing. Nobody is equalizing nothing, it's just happened in multiple animes, there's no different sense from equalizing them.

Then leave dawg, because everyone here is losing braincells watching you make a fool out of yourself. If you don't like the way the wiki works, then get off, it's simple.

No, you read the damn series.
If you want information about feats, read the series.

You've lost the little respect I give to everyone to go and use my time to find a scan you can find on a respect thread or the OP wiki.

I don't need to read the series because there's nothing I need to look for.

You're looking for something in the series, go read it to find out.
Never said Scaling and Tiering are same.
You brought up math for fictional feats. That's tiering, not scaling.
I mean I just came to see how this wiki discuss One Piece stuff, but boy have I been humored by some members and even mods.
Humored, you need to be humbled

No way you can argue characters in One Piece get stronger through battles when Luffy beats characters who have been battling for longer than he's been aware of haki/been a pirate/been alive

Anyways not going to bother replying to triggered users who are already starting to derail the thread to pointless bickering.

Here is a summary of points I found on reddit which I felt organized my thoughts in similar fashion to the points I have already brought up multiple times in the thread, which help explains why Crocodile wasn't as impressive on Marineford as most think, which is overall a good thing since it shows that One Piece still has one of the more consistent power progression/scaling among the shounens.

Luffy defeats Crocodile pre gears in Alabasta

Crocodile gets hit by Jozu and does no damage in return, Doffy SAVED Croc from Jozu’s assault by using his string

Crocodile clashes with Doffy, but Doffy just steps on his hook and is big chillin, neither used their fruits or put much effort into it.

Crocodile sneak attacks Sakazuki with sand and only slows him down

Crocodile tried to sneak attack Mihawk, once again clearly Mihawk didn’t care and just stopped him easily, Mihawk even used the side of the blade to stop his attack, if he used the blade with Haki, Crocodile loses his hook/forearm easy

Luffy stops Crocodile from ******* with WB and Crocodile backs off

ANYTHING he accomplished in the war was his ability to use sand to send people flying or sneak attack and still not do shit.

Going to start class, so I cba and won't have the time to answer any refutes.

so you just spewed a bunch of shit that wasn't even true, nice.

Who are the People? Are they in your head? 👁🤔👁

Crocodile doesn't get weakend by liquid, it makes his sand solid so you can hit him. Croc on Marineford 🤷‍♂️ probably need a statement or something

It helped Gearless Luffy make him spitblood and even defeat him when Jozu didn't KO him in one hit. If Jozu used water on Croco boy he would have been instantly one-shotted.
Gear second Luffy is massively Stronger than Base Alabasta Luffy, but He Still need Water. Josu Used Haki wich is more effective than Water, can endure Jozu brilliant punk mean he have got stronger in imple down.

What does that mean?
If you were to go on, let's say Ussop's profile. It will show links at the top saying "characters" "One Piece" "Male Characters" ect. When you press them you get a link to all characters on the wiki, all One Piece characters on the wiki and all male characters on the wiki ect.

Because there are lots of haki users, they are proposing a category that links you to all haki users on the wiki.

Here's a discussion topic for fun.

Name & describe a new technique that you've come up with for any character in the series. Bonus points if it fits their existing naming schemes for techniques and fighting style.

I guess a technique like "Gomu Gomu no Red Racer".

Similar to Luffy's Gear Fourth Snake Man's other techniques but he accelerate his arms to the point it catches on fire and upon direct contact, it causes an explosion that burn the enemy. Basically Snake Man + Red Hawk

Roronoa Zoro:
  • Nitōryū Onibi: Inka (陰火, "shadow fire")
(It is an onibi that would appear together when a ghost or yōkai appears.)

  • Ittōryū Onibi: Sōgenbi (叢原火 or 宗源火, "religion source fire")
(It was an onibi in Kyoto in Sekien Toriyama's Gazu Hyakki Yagyō. It was stated to be a monk who once stole from the Jizōdō in Mibu-dera who received Buddhist punishment and became an onibi, and the anguishing face of the priest would float inside the fire.[11] The name also appeared in the "Shinotogibōko", a collection of ghost stories from the Edo period.)
  • Santōryū Ogi: Enenra (煙々羅, en'enra, lit. "lightweight-fabric smoke")
(Enenra is a yōkai, or Japanese monster, that is composed of smoke and darkness. It was first featured in the Konjaku Hyakki Shūi, circa 1781.
Enenras mostly reside in bonfires; when they emerge, they take human shape or form. It is said that an enenra can only be seen by the pure of heart.

Enenras are mostly considered to be demons or divine beings of darkness and smoke; legend says that there are two types of enenras, the first and most common type being enenras who are born purely as enenras, whilst the second and more rarely occurring type are humans who have died and been transformed into enenras.)

Vinsmoke Sanji:
  • Diable Jambe: boule de feu (translated from Hidama (火魂, "fire spirit")
(An onibi from the Okinawa Prefecture. It ordinarily lives in the kitchen behind the charcoal extinguisher, but it is said to become a bird-like shape and fly around, and make things catch on fire.)
(Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onibi)

Brook:
  • Gashadokuro (がしゃどくろ/ 餓者髑髏, literally "starving skeleton", also known as Odokuro)
(The Gashadokuro are spirits that take the form of giant skeletons and are fifteen times larger than an average person, said to be created from the ghosts of the people who died in battle and were not buried. The peoples’ desire for vengeance causes the Gashadokuro to roam after midnight, grabbing lone travelers and biting off their heads to drink their spraying blood. There is a way to know of their approach, as the victim would hear the sound of loud ringing in the ear caused by the rattling of its teeth. The Gashadokuro are said to possess the powers of invisibility and indestructibility since it is composed of the bones of people who are already deceased, though Shinto charms are said to ward them off. Otherwise, a Gashadokuro will continue hunting its prey until its pent up anger is released, causing the bones to crumple and the Gashadokuro to collapse.)

Another technique is for Hina which would be called uhm.... "Surgical Glove Cage". I can't think of a better name.

The technique is basically Hina passing her hand through an opponent's face, essentially using her cage to create an impromptu iron mask around the person's face, specifically their nose and mouth and thus cutting off their supply of air. Effective against most opponents as even the strongest still need to breathe.

Another technique would be for Bellamy and it would be called "True Spring Hopper".

It is not a new technique but rather an improvement on the old. It is basically a combination of the Spring Fruit and Geppo (I think Rokushiki can be use to improve a lot of techniques, it is that good). Previously, Bellamy is limited in use of this technique by his surroundings and environments (i.e, put him in an open space area and he can't use it), but with Geppo, he can literally do his technique on the air anytime he wants to build up his momentum, offering more mobility and versatility to where he can attack from

Ange Jambe (Angel's Leg):

By combining the super resistance to fire from the Germa 66 technology in his Raid Suit with his never ending passion (i.e awakened Lunarian lineage factor) Sanji creates blue flames so powerful that not even his body would be able to withstand, reaching a level that will allow him to find the All Blue!

Ange Jambe - Cadeau de(s) Dieu(x) (Angel's Leg - God's Gift):

The ultimate attack that burns hotter than anything else in the seas, it represents everything Sanji can do as a cook, if Diable Jambe is a gift from the Devil then this technique is a gift from the Gods!

I went a bit databook? Yes.
I regret it? Not that much.
Do i understand even a bit of French as my nick may suggest? Not really, i hope google translate didn't mess up then.

My own technique idea, one for Who's-Who:

Tempest Kick Shadow Tiger Tail: Who's-Who, in his Human-Beast Form, leaps into the air and throws a Tempest Kick (Rankyaku) out from either leg, followed a split-second later by a Tempest Kick from his Sabre-Toothed Tiger tail. From the perspective of the target, only a single blade of air is descending towards them because the second blade of air is travelling in the shadow of the first. This can lead to the target deflecting the first attack, only to be struck a split-second later by the second attack.

Because Who's-Who has no unique Rankyaku variations.

That's honestly really ******* cool, kudos for coming up with that.

Nico Robin and Bartolomeo combo technique

Barrier Cien Fleur, Iron Maiden: Bartolomeo surrounds a person in a huge spherical barrier which Robin creates 100 fingers from the inside's surface. They all use Shigan, and Bartolomeo compresses the barrier until the victim gets hit with the Shigan.

Trafalgar Law, Borsalino (or any other laser user), and Brulee (they'll never collaborate) combo technique

Droste effect: Brulee creates a large number of mirrors which Law manipulates with Mes to move in a spherical circle around a flying enemy. Law creates an opening where Borsalino then shoots off several lasers which all reflect off of the mirrors. Law uses his Mes ability to keep the mirrors in mid air in a spherical shape until the victim has been riddled with laser holes
