Attack on Titan discussion thread

Part 1 will consist of everything that was in the trailer, that means we will reach Chapter 122 when Eren Activates the rumbling, I’m pretty confident that is when Part 1 will end as that’s a good stopping point, also I have heard people speculating about how we might not get a proper part 2 and may just get a movie to finish the anime, but that’s not confirmed by any means, just speculation and I don’t imagine that to be the case, I’d like to believe Attack on Titan will get a conclusion with a final few episodes that would be considered part 2, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens

Her swords are yeah, everyone who uses them are but we're waiting for the series to end before making upgrades
 
I really don’t think 7-C and Low 7-B should scale to Eren’s Striking Class or Durability tbh

His AP can stay at that level because of the power of the Founding Titans creation powers, but not his physicals
 
Latest episode was good, the CGI is well done, it's just... I'm really gonna miss WIT Studio's Sakuga, plus it looks like the trailers lied about the Animation, scenes that were 2D in the trailer were not brought over, it's sad that MAPPA was clearly rushed here, but overall I still very much enjoyed the latest episode
 
I find the WarHammer Titan's voice to be a bit weird. As I've always read her voice with a more deeper and more raspier voie, instead of sounding like an regular woman. It also seems significantly slimmer, whereas the manga and the trailer protrayed it with a similar physique to the attack titan, broader shoulders and all. Theses aren't complains, but more personal nitpicks.

The trailer's animation was absolutely beautiful. It saddens me that we won't get this beautiful sequence in the anime. Like is it just me, but the armored titan has this almost Gurren Lagann aesthetic to it, mainly the proportions.
 
Yeah I’m super disappointed by CGI titans. I remember rewatching the trailer over and over again, thinking to myself, “man I can’t wait to see the beautiful hand drawn animation.” Only to have the final product be CGI.

Reiner: Looked super weightless in comparison to his wit counterpart.

Zeke: Lacked his visual flexibility and looked like a robot.

Porco: Had a complete redesign. In the trailer he looked exactly like his manga counterpart but now his face looks weird. The small eyes, the small nose, the square face, etc. Porco’s design frustrates me the most.

Eren: His face looks way too long, to the point where he looks like curse mark 2 Sakon.

Warhammer: She looked like she decreased the frame rate every time she moved but I liked her voice.

I hate when a company rushes something so much, it’s really disappointing. Hopefully the Blue Ray version only has CGI when it comes to colossal titans.
 
Yeah, Reiner looked like he was completely weightless and could just move flexibly, which kinda contradicts what the armor titan is.

I think the best CGI moments was when reiner gets shot by the ships. As well as when they introduce the marleyan titans.
 
People ungrateful as ****, it’s not even Mappa’s fault, Kodansha gave the studio a mega short time to work on the season and Wit didn’t take the offer, Mappa was there to save the day, is it disappointing that the season is mostly CGI and that we won’t have 2D animation like the trailer showed? Yes, however this is by no means bad CGI, it’s quite good and great for the limited time Mappa had, once again, it is sad that this season could not be the absolute best looking season, but we should appreciate what we have

People are actually going that far? Like the animation ain't the greatest but yeesh... (I think the animation is actually quite good, better than other shows at least)

It'd be cruel and hilarious to have Reiner be the only survivor

Let his suffering end goddamit. I've also seen people theorise that he will be the one to end Eren. But it'll probably Armin that does that, or even Mikasa. Tho, I kinda want Reiner to have this big final moment for him after everything.
 
Levi's death is equivalent of Isayama digging his own grave. Remember when Kubo was about to kill Byakuya in Bleach and the fangirls sent him death threats? Now imagine that with 100x bigger fanbase
 
Either Eren dies and the world is left in pieces or everyone else dies and eren wins, i dont think a happy ending is plausible
 
Despite the obvious and predictable backlash, I still think Levi will likely die, either that and after the battle ends, he survives and permanently retires and opens a tea shop, likely staying in a wheelchair
